Unless you're tanking or first voking, Eva gear isn't going to do a lot for you. Both Acc and Haste will be of great help, though, since TP gain is job one for you. -- Pteryx

Haste FTW. Get yourself a Rapparee Harness and Swift Belt ASAP.

Let's look at what DNC can use;

Walahra Turban: 5%
Wyvern Earring: 5% *
Wyvern Targe: 1% *
Rapparee Harness: 4%
Swift Belt: 4%
Ninurta's Sash: 6% **

* Requires DRG set as sub job
** Drops off of Absolute Virtue ><;;

So the most Haste a DNC can reasonably get right now is 19% if you sub DRG, 14% without. Haste Samba will add another 5% to that which is nice, but it really does seem like DNC got shafted badly for end game gear wow.

No Mercurial Kris, very little haste gear, and none of the major armors (Abjuration, Set, etc) and I doubt too many people will sub DRG over NIN, WAR or SAM. Looks like you'll be loading up on Acc.

lol yeah true but DNC does have access to
Dusk stuff as well (think that adds haste) im hoping that ass they add more WOTG content they add something we can do to get more good endgame armor but at the rate content is being add could be a while for anything like that if at all

ACC first from hat I can tell. DNC's I group with at 75 are using a dagger and a JOY. Given the D rate youll need a good chunk of ACC to have it hit. (also from what I hear its the #1 TP tool atm for DNC if you have one). Since you get a boost from natural traits your only looking at adding 40 ACC+ Sushi to have the joy hit well. The key for DNC from what I see (especially if you go /SAM) is keeping TP built up not getting TP fast.

So to answer your question ACC>Haste don't worry about evade chances are you won't be dodging most things anyhow even with +EVA gear.

Before you get too harsh on /DRG, don't forget that they aren't the worst sub a DNC can use. With jumps, acc boosts in the form of job traits, and other nifty things, I think it's an honestly valid sub. The extra 5% haste adds even more to this.

I don't think the ACC bonus Job Trait from DRG would stack with DNC's ACC bonus Job Trait.

I would say if affordable, bring both Haste and ACC+ gear setup, and swap in according to the situation.

I honestly thing it provides more useful tools than /nin TBH even at 75. It definitaly ranks #2 on the list of subjobs for my dancer (first being /SAM)

D'oh!

You know, no matter how many times I hear this, I always manage to forget. You're correct, they don't stack ><;

Go haste, eat fish if you need Acc, but bring both Haste and Acc if you can. Basically, the way Melees do it is to go in full Acc and start swapping gear out for Haste while they fight. Once they notice their Acc starting to drop, they stop swapping and go with what they have. But Haste is the most important thing you can equip for fast TP gain(assuming you hit reliably) because faster swinging means more TP. And unlike DW, haste doesn't lower TP Per hit.

Get a Rap harness, it's practically free and one of(if not the) best haste body pieces you can get. The Wal-Turban is another awesome piece of haste gear anyone can obtain, so right there that's +9% haste. Throw in a Swift Belt and dusk gear if you can get them and you'll be drowning in TP.

Just pointing it out because I haven't seen it yet, but DNC also gets access to Dusk Set, so that's +5% more if you grab hands and feet at 72.

I wasn't bashing /DRG, I was saying the 5 haste and 2 jumps will not beat out Dual Wield, Shadows, Double Attack and Berserk.

And when I posted those items I was looking at the equipment list on Wiki; DNC can't use Dusk items.

Ninja Edit: Okay my bad, the page that lists Haste Gear hasn't been updated to reflect the new jobs. DNC can in fact use Dusk ^^b woot

Acctually Dual Weild is pretty shitty for a DNC imo. I mean yes you can use 2 weapons. But gearing for using the joy toy is so much better it will attack as fast as most dual weild setups on its own. /SAM is the way to go if your worried about TP. If not /DRG will keep you alive alot longer than 3 shadows. Im still pretty sure that AoE TP moves mobs use rip them apart, so a jump will clean it out.

Not saying NIN is no good, but its more of a solo sub. I have my DNC at 57 now and have yet to use /NIN in party. (still /DRG using H2H withh acc gear). As a DNC I find myself pulling hate every now and then occaisionally taking a TP move. Once I can use super jump im looking forward to being able to drop CW4 and jumping it away. Still ACC gear is the way to go. You can pile as much haste gear as you want but if your not hiting your not getting TP.

High Jump for /DRG, no Super Jump for /DRG as I recalled, unless level cap is raised~

As usual Mag is full of crap...

/DRG will keep you safer over Utsusemi Ichi and Ni? That's a new one on me. And that fairy tale about Super Jump? Classic.

^-- I'd be going for Getem's build. Mainly, the Haste and equip swapping +Acc gear for steps and WS (If you're using them).

The Dusk pants and earrings are the slots in said build that can be pretty much whatever you want. Though getting as much +attack in those slots is probably ideal with sushi. It still lacks a good deal of Haste and your Acc traits put you up to just over A+ rank -- not like DRG where it's like wearing 2x O-hats. Oh, and the Joyeuse problem of course (though the 50% double attack rate offsets pretty much any acc problems you could possibly have). Therefore, +attack gear and sushi puts you up to roughly the acc levels of 2-handed DDs. And of course, 18% haste. Just don't forget to up Attack whenever you can...
