While in mid game play my ffxi likes to kick to desktop and a little msg pops up saying playonline has stoped working. It does this after about 1-2 hrs into playing, somtimes sooner, sometimes I get lucky and it dont do it for a good 5 hrs or so but it happens often. Also Sometimes on my send and receve in top right hand corner my recieve drops too 0 and after a bit of running around in stop time mode ... bam kicks me. I am using windows vista, an no it never did this crap when i ran xp

Might need to reset your modem or router. I remember I had one modem that if I didn't unplug it and plug it back up would do that. Funny thing was I never had issues with the internet when it did it only with FFXI. Same issues as well with my router doing the same thing,
It also could be a G.C issue. Id check the drivers, and the card. They will sometimes kick you off the game when they are being over worked.

Ahhhh. Therein lies the fundamental flaw of mankind... Inefficient operating systems.. I recommend slapping Bill Gates a few times and paying about 140USD to buy a copy of XP. Its much more Ram efficient and has better control of itself than Vista does. System stability is win!

probably a graphics card or ram issue. it may be overheating as well.

I actually had this problem less than a week ago, i finally brought it up in a thread, after downloading a new video driver its worked beautifully for me, hasnt crashed since, well, it does on a very very very rare occasion, but thats only because Windower and Skype(or any other IM program) dont really agree with eachother for some reason.
If it helps at all i also went to walmart and dished out 25 bucks for a cooling mat for my laptop. And if your planning on doing events that has alot of people or very graphically intense, use Offical windower, not .net.
