Ok I gonna try beastmaster and see how it is. How does the bst 2 hours works? I am gonna use it a lot to solo. which level you guys/gals are as a beastmaster thats says i'm lovin it?I wanna reach that
lovin level and have fun too :)
I will say that at lvl 25 BSt I am loving it! Having the Call beast ability is suck a life saver. Granted it is probably not the best choice as there are plent of good pet that are more powerful out in the field but the big draw is the not having to worry about loosing charm over the pet. I am also just learning to love the Sic ability and finding out how handy this becomes in certain situations. At lvl 25 BSt rocks for me

Good luck with Beastmaster.
Bst 2hr: First things first, ya gotta charm somethin'. Once you have a pet, you can use Familiar (Beastmaster 2hr). This allows you to keep your pet for either 30 minutes or until your pet dies, which ever comes first.
Your "lovin' it" level may differ from mine. Mine was level 35 when I learned "Leave".
Do not charm something and /joy motion. This is not good. Sage advise from me to you.

I'm level 66 beast now, and I've loved every level. The higher I go it seems the
better it gets, but it's probably just my skills and decisions are better so
there are less emergencies.
Secret to beast, learn what you can charm and
what is difficult to charm. Don';t attempt to charm a mob that is in close proximity to another of his family. Use a charm macro that automatically follows up with the tame ability. Always fight mobs that are out of aggro range of other mobs so you can use sic ability without an AOE from pet drawing more mobs into the fight.
The 2 hr is effective when I can find a t mob in a group of em mobs to get
some chains going but that usually requires some pet food to keep kills going
without resting. The reverse is to 2 hr an em and go after some t mobs, the
two approaches actually turn out close to equal in exp.
I think my enjoyment of beast became elevated when I could sub Blu and utilize cocoon and bludgeon and get +8 Chr from equipping spells and the regen ability. It's fun to watch your HP go up while you are running around looking for your next prey.

Familiar: For wild pets it lets you keep them charmed for 30 minutes. Works best of pets that are rated Tough and above. For jug pets, it seems to add 10% HP or so on top of whatever HP they have. This can be witnessed if your jug pet is harmed, and if you use Familiar their HP bar drops a bit.
As for what level you start loving it? I must say, 35.

I think you'll realize fairly early on whether you love BST soloing or hate BST soloing. Even before Leave, the impacts of not having to LFG can be felt early on.
I'm lv 45, and have many many "Damn you communist bastards (Brady guides) for making the world of retards hate BST" moments. But then, just for a moment, my pet won't uncharm, a Pt wont turn up on top of me the moment i find a cood camp..
I think I've had about 3 good BST moments... lol
It is just fun to walk nito a BCNM with some people and kick so much ass.

*updated* I have gotten beastmaster to level 14 by soloing and it is great.
I been having fun using my 2 hour and keeping my pet alive.
For the fun part I tried to charm a gobin fisher but I could not charm him.
getting 75, 100 and 120 exp is great. I wish I could know how to put a video up
from the xbox 360.
There is the problem with solo BST. The exp will most likely stay at 120 ish to 200 untill about 60.

The cap moves up at 50 I believe, I remember raping Goblin's Leeches at 49, 50 and 51, the EXP definately moves up a notch.
Quick note about charming you cannot charm any Goblin or Beastmen for that matter I.e ............ Orc, yaguado, Quadav, goblin. If I were you I would start learning cooking as a craft it will help when it comes to having pet food as well as jug pets.

BST. I'm lovin' it!
Endure the hardships that low levels bring, later on its so much fun and you're self sufficient for many things, and im impressed how well I do on some BCNMs and mission fights, yesterday I did ther bugbear and goblins BC for a friend (cop missions) and my pet tanked the bugbear easily for a good 2 min until the nin voked it! Was fun! He had 70% at that time, i was impressed

Before the "Leave" patch, it's a finisher.
It still is, but you can use it without much worry.

I have a question about BST as well o.o;
How does the experience work out? Do you get full exp if you kill something with a pet out of a party in a party? Or are there still limitations that gimp your exp?
What is a good difficulty range on possible pets should be charmed and used to attack their friends in the area? VT? T? EM?

There's no longer any XP cut regardless of whether you use a jug pet or charm a mob, regardless of whether you're in a party or not. The only way there's ever any XP "penalty" is if you charm a mob of a higher level than you, and then it's exactly the same as having someone in a party the same level as the mob.
Generally, you charm DC-EM and send them against EM-T (maybe VT if you know what you're doing), possibly using multiple pets. Ideally, you want EM pets (the strongest you can get without affecting your XP).

About 20 is when I started to like BST. The gear available to boost your chr makes all the difference in miss charms. At 35 is when I fell in love with it(Leave). At 55, I love the way I can do missions myself with the right preparations. Just duoed my AF boots with a 54 WHM. Took a while but I didn't have to wait for a group or a level 75 to help me with it . :) Being able to farm the coffer keys solo for the rest of it is just priceless. Now i am preparing for a suicide mission to break the 55 level barrier and then the 60. :wasted:

Not really, i have pulled chains into the 350s if i got lucky around 52ish, and it only gets better after that.
Tip, get a light staff (or if you have the gil an Apollo's staff) when you hit lv 51.
