Question! Japanese in NA Bazaars

Was wondering if there was a way to put Japanese in NA version of FFXI. Been running into ppl with JP in the bazaar but when I talked to them in Japanese they didn't understand but they could read the autotrans....which is weird because on the JP version it shows Japanese. But I also found out alot of RMT are posing as Japanese too. But I'm pretty sure some of the people I ran into are not RMT.

If you use PC version with a windower, you can copy JP text and paste it in FFXI, this is how most do it, with others being NA people who either are abroad or imported the JP client. However, this is technically a GM'able offense and they can tell if you're playing on the NA client, they won't ban you but will make you remove it if it gets pointed out to them.

You would think people who get paid to do something could make a windowed version of FFXI at least on par to the one created by a third party for no cost. I'm not talking about the plug-ins it offers. The actual quality is crap compared to the unofficial or even unwindowed. Really, how can you mess up something that bad?

google it and use it, or dont, up to you, just know it can get you banned if it is discovered that you use it.

Though I doubt even running around Whitegate shouting "I use an unofficial windower!!!" would be enough to get you banned, you probably have to call into the STFU offices themselves and report yourself.
