It is a DDOS attack, it's been going on for 5 days now apparently. 6,000 Zombie boxes, most of which are using cable modems. Some are in Asia, some US.

And yes, whoever is behind it is an idiot.

They been down for a while cus they are getting attack of some kind of gig bytes flood.
(a bandwidth flood of over 3Gig/sec)
