usb game pad

hello :)

i bought the 2007 collection for my fiancee and finally got it all set up on vista.
it seems you can use a usb pad in the playonline viewer (er hmm WHY?)

i cant for the life of me work out how or if you can use the pad in game to control character movement.

any ideas please?

Have you set it up in the FFXI Config program? It's somewhere in the same folder heirarchy in the Start menu as FFXI itself. Can't remember exactly where, and Vista may do something different with it.

PlayOnline Viewer config is in Start > Programs > PlayOnline > PlayOnline Viewer > PlayOnline Viewer Config.

yup. that should do it. once it's enabled there you'll be able to use the controller within POL.
