learning wild carrot

i just got level 29 on my blue mage last night and decided to head out to Bibiki Bay to try and learn wild carrot before i turned 30. all of the Island Rarab's were VT-IT to me, but the Goblin's Rarabs in the zone checked T and since they were a pet they had much weaker defenses. They were rather easy to kill, but still packed a punch at my level. I saw quite a few use Wild Carrots cast, but did not learn it. My blue magic skill is capped and i understand that learning spells has a lot to do with luck (damn you Blastbomb!). My question has to do with the fact that i am trying to learn a spell from a pet mob. The wiki states that the spell is learnable from them, but i have not seen confirmation from anyone that they have learned it this way. I checked the wiki, this site, and allakazam but have not found anyone that has said they learned Wild Carrot from a goblin's pet.

So, has anyone here been able to learn wild carrot this way or should i just wait until i am a little higher and work on the regular rarab's in the zone? thanks for the help.

My BLU learned Wild Carrot from that Goblin's pet. I forgot what level my BLU was when learning that spell, it was either level 29 or 30.

I learned it from a Gob pet at 30 as well. Just keep trying and whatever you do make sure the Gob doesn't notice you.

thanks a lot. at least i know other people have gotten it from the pets. i would have been out there a little while longer, but i got bored waiting for the next repop and decided to try killing a T Eft, but he was tougher than i expected and got killed. It was getting late so i just went to bed, but i'll head back to Bibiki Bay when i get home from work and get back to learning Wild Carrot. i can't wait to replace Pollen with a spell i can use on people other than myself.
