Returning back after a years break.

I'm sorry if this isn't in the right section!




My best friend and I are returning to FFXI on Monday and we plan on making totally new characters and everything, just to start out fresh. We want to be apart of a more popular server, but I'm not sure which to choose. Are there any recommendations for this?




We've been looking at Bahamut, as I've seen it mentioned alot before as far as popular servers go. I'm still not sure though. Help please? :)

Only S-E knows exactly which World is most crowded at any time; the last time S-E mentions overpopulation, it was asking players to please leave Odin (http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/polnews/news11738.shtml), but that was back in November 2007.

Keep in mind that being crowded probably also means players are more likely to be contesting over leveling spots and NMs. Conversely, it may be easier to make parties for leveling up in a more populated World.

A year back when I was on Sylph(I'm not sure how it is now i dont think it probably changed much now), but there wernt that many people on it, and that made it really hard to get a party... even though I was a WHM o.o So now that I'm back on it I went to Bahumat because it was more crowded xD though idk if this really helps you xD
