Seems Flood, Waterga III, etc. have stopped dropping from Sapphire Quadavs since the November update. Was it intended?

This is the first I've heard of it. Where's your proof? (http://objection.mrdictionary.net/go.php?n=2378639)

Um...have you looked at Flood and Waterga II/III scrolls on FFXIAH? Ever since the November update they suddenly became very rare, not to mention I've heard on other forums that no one has seen a single scroll drop other than Blind/Bind. (can't post a URL but look at FFXIcyclopedia forum)

Since to the best of my knowledge they did not change the drops, a likely explanation is people just aren't farming them as much as they spend more time doing the other thing that happened around the November update.

Having killed those things myself I have to say the water scrolls are all very rare drops. Since I hadn't heard of this until now, I have to assume anyone who did camp the Sapphire and did see water scrolls to drop wouldn't have thought to post about it, and hazard a guess that this is why you see so many people agreeing that the Sapphires stopped dropping water scrolls.

Me, I had been trying to get Flood since early September and had never seen even one on the AH when I checked, though I see that they do sell occasionally.

If it's true then, well, drop SE a note and try the ISNM is all we can do, huh? Or try the Sapphires in the past, should those areas ever come under beastman control or whatever is needed for them to spawn.

Edit: FFXI AH price history only goes back to Nov., can't really glean any information from it.

I farmed them not long ago with my boyfriend (farming/latent breaking ftw) and we didn't have any drops, but we didn't think anything was unusual about that, either, as they're really not a common drop. However, I might have to go down there now and solo a bunch of those black mage bastards, for the sake of this thread and the sake of my gil. (Aks needs moar HQ staves!)

I was just there recently for many hours for keys and not a single drop either. While I know its a rare drop, I was a bit surprised considering how long we were there. But then I remembered back to my blm leveling days and how long it took me to get a drop for my blm. I went there for 6 days in a row and spent 5+ hours a day there. I think I got 1/4 of our server keys in that time. LOL Finally got the drop but it wasn't something that I'd do to make money thats for sure. That's probably why there are so few up.

Thats the same thing that happened to use. We were down there farming keys for a Bst friend of ours. So we were running back and forth killing all the quadav. Not only did the key that forever to drop. But all in all there was nothing special about anything they dropped.

I think nobody really farms them much. Its time to price ratio isn't worth it. I think those that do sell it were down there as part of a coffer party.

Sapphire Quadavs don't seem to be in past areas. There are high level Zircon and Heliodor BLM Quadavs though.

As for FFXIAH, there is a noticable drop in the rate of Flood scroll sales after the November update.

Try again.

The drop rate has always been dismal, when it comes to scrolls. Just because people aren't selling them as much doesn't mean that they don't drop anymore. People were probably doing other things during the November update.
