I never really messed with Storage in my MH all that much before the Mog House update the week WotG came out, since friends were wanting to visit each other's MH's I chose to spruce mine up a little.
But as I did so, i noticed no matter how much furniture I added, I couldn't get more than 20 spaces of storage.
Then I got the Snowman items for new years, laid them out in my MH and noticed that my storage was now at 32. Do these somehow break that cap or am I just crazy and there was no Storage cap?

I'm affriad your crazy :)
I have 25 storage slots from various items in my MH I suppose you cam have as much storage as furniture will allow and just fill your MH slots with furniture giving you loads of storage. In theory I suppose you could have MH maxed with 80 9-drawer Almirah's (7 storage slots a piece) giving you 560 slots in storage.

Storage (http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Storage) cap is 80.

What a shame 560 slots would have been very usefull!
whats the Mog locker limit then?

Limits for safe/locker/storage are 80, regular inventory is 70.

80 seems to be some kind of hard cap based on FFXI architecture/PS2 limitations, as far as I can tell from SE's statements about the matter. Which means that theoretically in the future we might be able to see a Gobbiebag IX and X, but they'd be the absolute last such expansions. The implementation of mog lockers is purportedly to get around the limit by having a separate set of up to 80 items the system can cope with. SE hasn't said anything on whether a new type of storage might be added in the future, but if so that too will no doubt eventually cap at 80.

My wife hit the 80 cap of storage last night with one of the snowmen and had to clean up her safe so it would count the other two.

So to get 80 the most viable way would be to have 9 of those 9-Draw Almirah's then so your only sacraficing 9 MH. Pretty nice trade off altho sometimes Id imagine its quicker logging out and muling gear if your hp isnt whitegate and you dont use the nation warp taru.
Can you only store armour in the 7 slots mannequins give? Never had one before.

A 9-drawer Almirah gives 7 storage spaces so to get 80 it would be 11 of them and a 3 storage item for 12 Mog Safe slots.
Still a pretty good setup if you keep your home point in your home nation.

haha, no idea where I got nine from. Man I was stupid back then :/
I may end up giving it a go if you can store non armour items on manequin slots.

Yes, you *can* store anything in storage slots provided by mannequins. The only thing about them is that you can only display armor on them, and they (the armor pieces) have to be in Storage, but other than that, you can store whatever you can think of in those slots.
