Alright. I have been taking part in Campaign Battles for several weeks, but I still can't get the hang of effectively fighting in them. Whereas I see people running around shouting "Alright, 2,500 EXP!" I'm walking away with a measly 1,200. Is this common for BLM, or am I doing something wrong? I need help on this!

What I have tried so far:

1) Cure Spam, usually NPCs because they have such massive HP barks and take so much damage. Let me say, first and foremost, THIS DOES NOT WORK. You get very minimal returns on EXP and AN this way, I am note sure if curing other players yields more(why would it?) but I rarely find any PCs damaged enough to heal anyway.

2) Enfeeble Spam - Also minimal returns. Slightly better then cure spamming, but not by much.

3) Nuke Spam - This seems to be best so far, and works moderately well. While I have MP, I can usually deal enough damage to occasionally pull hate, but even Aspairing every min, eventually my MP runs out. Then I have to sit there for a while doing nothing, watching chances to get EXP fly by.

What I need help on:

1) Regaining MP faster. Unlike melee DDs, BLM have higher short-term DD potential, but weaker long-term DD potential. This si due to the fact that their attacks are based on MP, which they run out of pretty quickly. Even using Wizard Cookies, +21 hMP from gear(28 total), I still can't keep up.

2) Finding targets faster. Usually, only one or two monsters are being attacked at a time, and by the time I target them, they have 10% HP left. Can't even get one nuke off. <stnpc> dosn't work, because it targets the Allied NPCs also. I tried using <bt> but that fails to work as soon as the target turns purple.

3) Any more ways to get more EXP?

Have you tried to melee? Yes I realize you are a blm. In my experinces on whm I have found that I can double what I earn if I mix in some staff swings. You may also try nuking smaller. It seems to reward more for constant effort rather then total damage done. As far as targetting faster, treat the situation like dynamis and assist someone, anyone that engages hell /as <t> works on the NPCs too. Just my ideas

Curing PCs should yield more than NPCs since we're a lot weaker and easier to kill than they are. Buffing players also works wonders. Not sure how much EXP you get for raising someone but I"m sure it's a good chunk. Probably whatever points said player just lost, actually.

I say try mixing it up. Save a few lives, blast mobs, and when you can, Sleepga enemies who are beating on the fortifications or other players until the others are ready to smack them around.

SE just adjusted the evaluation of blood pacts, so chances are they'll tweak attack magic soon since as you pointed out, BLM has much lower long-term damage potential and should be compensated accordingly. Though in all honesty, I wouldn't be too hopeful since I'm sure the last thing they want is for Campaign to become a BLM-fest (Nuke -> Sleepga -> Nuke ->Sleepga)

Not really sure why though, and the same goes for besieged... I see no good reason for SE to rag on BLM in these scenarios and make them a giant melee fest. Mages need love too, and I seriously doubt that everyone would come as a BLM (especially if mobs are sleep resistant/immune; who'll save their asses when shit hits the fan?)

yeah, I tried to exp on BLM, was tragically crap so I gave up >.>

Only 65 atm, thought it would be a nice change to soloing, but most battles last only long enough for 1 MP pool and its done.
