360 transfer installation

alrighty, so been playing since 03, have all expansions. Decided to just switch to 360 from ps2 (switched from pc) and i went ahead and bought the 2008 collection for 360 so i'd have wings of the goddess, now.. i have all the others installed and registered, but the collection just has one code that i am able to use, no wotg specific code to register it.. and i even called square and they told me what to do, did it, didn't work and they were dumb founded lol so is anyone in this situation?

you have a JP account. you cannot use NA registration codes on a JP account.

you'll have to import.

Whoever you got the account key from got it from a Japanese copy. FFXI didn't come to NA PS2s until sometime in 04.

in that case, you should have no problem, unless you are inputting the code wrong, like caps lock. Mind telling us exactly what the error message is when you put in the code?

says incorrect code. its a code for the entire collection (has one code, instead of one for each expansion.) my keyboard decided to mess up, so i can only use capitols, thats probably what it is then, never even thought of that.

No, your keyboard is not messing up. Account codes are only in caps, and that's all POL has ever allowed in the registration code boxes. They released a statement with WotG; apparently some codes were incorrectly printed with lower-case letters, but should still be valid just entered in all caps.

This sort of thing is probably why they also released that warning for players who already have accounts to not buy the new collection, but to get the separate expansion instead.

I bought the Vana collection 2008 and worked great for me...I went on PO chat and they said use the code with the new WotG registration page. Using the code given (entered all in caps) it should register all expansion packs that aren't registered for instance...WotG for me. Just make sure you're entering the right number/letters...thats the only thing i can say that might go wrong...or if for some reason SE screwed up on a few codes and packaged bad codes...
