new computer

hi everyone

quick question, i have a new computer and would like to put ffx on the new one, as the old one is gonna be scrapped. if i install the game onto the new computher and it ask for my cd keys would that work.....as i have already used my cd keys on the old computer??? how do i move things over?

There are no cd-keys, only registration codes which are already associated with your character. All you would have to do is enter your POL username and password after you install POL, FFXI and the expansions you have.

You won't need the CD keys. Just your POL account and password. When you install and run POL there will be a screen where you can tell it that you're an existing member (I don't know the exact wording).

thank you guys so much!! would you say i should uninstall the game off the old copy first before installing it in the new one? or wont it make a difference?

It won't effect your ability to play on the new PC at all. Whether you wipe that and/or the rest of your old hard drive depends on what you mean by "scrapped" and/or how worried you are about your personal data being found & used against you & all that sort of thing.

ha ha scrapped as in im not allowed to use the old computer anymore.....bf gets tired of me playing on his computer, now i got my own one! and thanks for the info i will try that now!
