BLU BCNMs

Hey ya'll, new to the rank of Blue Mages, only level 12 right now. Having fun, dig learning spells, like the 'fighter mage' approach, and just generally doing well.

One question though: are there any BCNM's that BLU could solo? Or perhaps duo? 20ish range? 30ish?

Sorry if this question's been asked before. I've recently come to these boards, and I checked the forum, didn't really see any topics like it.

Not sure about solo, none of the jobs have much to offer at lvl30 imo - not enough to solo a 3 man BCNM anyway.

Duo, maybe, but I dont have much experience in lower lvl BCNM's (hate capped stuff) so this post serves pretty much no purpose.

Ah, well, that makes sense. What level then, would it be possible for a BLU to solo a BCNM? I've heard talk of that 50 cap skeleton who reanimates as different jobs, but I'm not able to try, myself.

I cant really be of more use here Im afraid - others will no doubt have a better (reliable) opinion.

I dont fully understand myself what the capabilities of BLU are at any level range, and what spells you could potentially take advantage of to win.

All my solo/duo experience is in RDM :P

It's no worries. I've always wanted to level a job that could do something for BCNMs. And I really can't stand BLM.

What are some of RDM's experiences? I'm really not familiar with BLU, but it seems like it functions on the same plane, albeit perhaps, not the same world.

You *may* be able to duo BS20 Wings of Fury, if you have BST20 or higher, and do it as BLU/BST. Then again, if you have BST20, you might as well use BST/BLU instead.

Anyone with enough Beastmen Seals can do BS50 Treasure and Tribulations, provided he's able to reach Balga's Dais.

Well if you are a exceptional rdm you can solo /bst wings of fury or /blm up in arms but takes lots of luck and you have to beat the clock u have to go in chainspell run like hell with gravity on the mob convert and nuke like hell gets it to 50%- 60% and dot kite the rest with a occasional nuke on the mob with a stoneskin and blink on urslef. I have did it this way once i was inspired to do it from a vid i seem but its best just to go with other rdms and blms and sleep nuke it to death.

If ya poke around, there are a number of ENMS a BLU and a RDM can duo with out too much difficulty.

I reattempted it once again but with a trio as blu/nin(me) dualboxing a rdm/nin with another rdm/nin


I took turns switching out the rdm/nin and my blu/nin it was rocky at first but we got it under control the only real issue is the time limit (15mins). If I probrably left both chars in auto-attack combined with my friend we would have probrably made it pretty close.

the possiblity of blue mage soloing that bcnm is very low, you'd need a helluva load of pots/ethers which would most likely put you at a loss at the end...unless utsu: ni drops every single time (not likely).
