most popular server - cant make a decision

hey guys im looking for server with lots of people and some that could help a semi-newb out.

I have played teh game before on different servers with lower level characters and find it hard to progress, so what is one of the more popular/larger servers.

S-E seems to think that Odin is too crowded, and want people to move to Hades and Remora (http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/polnews/news11738.shtml).

Just because a server is high-population does not mean you will have an easier time and find more help, you may actually find it to be the exact opposite of what you expect. Valkrum is DEAD on Odin and it is usually dead. Its hard to find parties for Yuthunga and Yhoator Jungle at all.

A lot of people on high population servers can now just get a high level friend to PL them and gimp their way through the low levels until they hit near 50s where more players are common.

Additionally, I've found that JP players are much less friendly on high-population servers because they know they have the population to be immensely shrewd about who they help and invite. A JP melee on Titan would not turn down an NA or EU invite because western players were more prominent, but a JP melee on Odin can and will turn down an invite, sometimes even if you're an NA BRD, for christ's sake. And Odin is whipped on BRDs, so that's saying alot.

So yeah, those who usually swoop in to say "all servers are the same" - its not true.
