View Full Version : Will Red Mage ever see native Divine Magic again?

Currently, Red Mage possesses Divine magic as a main job skill, but no Divine magic spells native to the job. To access any Divine magic, Red Mage has to sub White Mage or Paladin to access any Divine magic.

It's common knowledge that Dia was once Divine magic, but later changed to Enfeebling. However, this left Red Mage with a spell set that doesn't compliment it's skill set, having to resort to a sub they may or may not be interested in leveling to fill that "void."

My question is if we'll ever see a Divine spell on our main job's spell list to compliment the Divine magic skill, and if so, when?

Good question. How about giving back Diaga 2 and giving the job some staff skill while you're at it SE

Why is it a problem that RDM don't have a native Divine spell? If you're never going to use /whm or /pld then it doesn't effect you at all. But if you do sub one of those jobs you get to have access to Divine spells without them being capped at level 37 skill.

Personally I would think they need to make a feasible use to having Divine Magic as opposed to giving RDMs some spell to fill a void. The uses of Banish and Holy are rather limited leaving only flash that has any real use. And from what I've seen your divine skill has very little to do with flash as it's unresistable (only effecting duration)

Both of those would be absolutely pointless. Especially to the question at hand.
