hey I forgot, I don't think BRD's can play instruments in town, unless it's like Al Zahbi type. but wait I think they can, well never tried BRD, their instrument abilities are "me" target type abilities, right?

if so then ya those kinda abilities or support abilities work within towns.

But since Dancer looks to be an offensive type of ability user, then maybe Dancers can't use any dance animations/abilities in town unless they are "me" target type or "spells" that can be casted on oneself or others (player-type).

but you know there are the traits (non-useable, active statuses)
then the abilities (usable)
and I guess Dancer might have its own "spell" class (like nins and mages do).

but ya not sure if there are any dances or spells...wait actually I think Dance is the spell class it itself, like each Dance is kinda learned like you learn other magic like scrolls, and they have their own dance animations and stuff.

so then the abilities, maybe be other Dances that have timed uses, unless....they are not treated as Dances. but it would be cool if the Dancer abilities and spells all provide many dance animations for each one. :) but my guess some will share the same animation. cause of course different races and stuff will have their own versions of dance animations. but ya it would be cool if Dancers can dance in towns but it depends if any of the abilities or "spells" allow it based on its target nature.

BRD can sing in town just fine if it's not an offensive spell.

Dancer should be able to perform/cast/whatever as long as it does not target an enemy. Anything that targets self or other players should be do-able.

Knowing SE, the animation for each dance will be the same. Then they'll give the excuse that "giving each dance separate animations would take up to much memory for the PS2 users."

I don't think the animations will all be the same. And I figure we will be able to dance besides offensive (as been stated) We can buff and heal in town ya know? ^^

That will probaly be how you will have to skill up "Dancing" skill, by spamming it in town like enhancing and healing and whatever else.

ya I guess, it would be cool if they release the abilities and stuff Dancer can do but we'll probably not know until the game is released. and on top of that, who knows if the first abilities learned can be used in town.

I'm still confused with the Ability Set and the possible Dancer spell set (probably the Dancer magic is called Dance, just like Ninja magic is called Ninjitsu and BRDs have Songs).

I presume the ability set might have some Dance animations of their own, and possibly casting Dance spells are basically dances themselves except each one has different special effects that go with them.

Dude make ONE thread "Dancer speculation" and post all your questions there, you have like 4-5 threads open.

Doubtful: since most dances are (probably) danced on enemies, you'll get the faster skillup rate for casting on higher level targets. BLMs don't have to skill up elemental, RDMs don't have to skill up enfeebling, and BRDs don't have to skill up singing and whatever instrument they actually use.

Whether or not there will be dancing in the streets will depend on whether or not there are any dances that can be cast on yourself or friendly targets; SE hasn't released enough information to be sure of that yet.
