I'm tired of getting email from modding newbs for a game I haven't even looked at in almost 2 years.

Also, wth are you guys modding anymore? Right before I left we had moved to Robot Chocobo's, badass armor with glow effects, and a bunch of new looking stuff. Now, I come back to rant about newbs and strol around a bit... and I'm still seeing basic weapon mods and SH Redux Redux the 3rd.

What happened to forward progress?

Well the weight of modding moved to www.ffxidats.com and here are most of the time requests left.
As for the hilights of forward progress:
There are High Quality Textures on Mods out there now.
It is also possible to HQ Moghouse textures.

But thats it with the easy things.
Changing the size of a mob or motion creation are still very timeconsuming things and are only done by a few modder.

Hopefully you can finish it then. I loved my robot chocobo. Some HD textures would look nice on it, since that's something new. How does that affect game performance with HD texturing?

As for what I'm doing, I've been playing WoW with the wife since I left FFXI. It's nice actually being able to PLAY the game rather than modding it while waiting on a party, lol.

I just wish my WAR beta key would hurry up and get to me...

Im not sure. I've done some texturing in the past and i allways made sure they were HD but never made anything big.
