Greetings,
I'd doing the dirty work for my wife, so please excuse my ignorance on the topic. Basically, my wife hasnt needed exp on her blm since skillchains and magic bursts were the norm >.>; and now she needs to rebuild that good ol buffer. I told her most blms manaburn these days, but is there any sort of strategy when donig so? Rotating stuns, or sleeps? or is it just as simple as it sounds: blow stuff up as fast as you can? Thanks for the info.

Last I did one. There's a sleep order for who sleeps it when the mob first comes in, *unless the BRD is sleeping it.*
What AM is being used will be decided before, lets assume Burst. The leader will say something along the lines of "at 20" which means when the vana'diel clock hits x:20 everyone casts Burst.
This should pretty much kill it. If not someone sleeps it, and other spells are used on it. Wash rinse, repeat.
A lot of BLM also just solo for exp now too.

What level blm are we talking about? Was she 75 way back when and just needs a buffer? Thats what I gather from your post.
My two favorite camps are in Mount Zaylom (sp?) There is an Ebony Pudding camp, at 75 lightly merited I can kill them solo with Burst2, Freeze2, and a Thunder4, maybe a drain. These are aspirable to usually less down time, can get chain 4 or 5 fairly easy and half paying attention. Just Gravity, and start casting around max range.
2nd Camp is in Mount Z as well, and is just anywhere Wamoura Princes are. Same strat, gravity and nuke nuke nuke! I usually stay off AM2 on these, and just burn them down with Tier 4 nukes. A bit more effecient in MP. These arn't aspirable, just fairly easy to bind, sleep, and gravity.
Manaburn is pretty much same thing, just full rest on chain3 and then get up and kill to about chain 10 or so, depending if you have a refresher and how many blms.
1 minute recast on gravity, so set up a gravity order if needed. Enough blms and you won't have to, as they will die after 1 volley of spells. Or if you have a bard, they'll just lullaby if any HP is remaining after nukes. If doing puddings, be ready to stun -ga3 nukes and such, and just pay some attention.
A varient to manaburn, is at a wamoura camp, just have a bard pull them all, horde lullaby, blms time -ga3 nuke, usually dead after 1 volley with 5 blms, sometimes takes a little extra.
Overall, rather mindless, fun, and certainly not fast pace and intense like TP burn parties. Your biggest problem is competition for camps.
Oh, if you go to the far island in Mount Z, you'll find Dahaks. Recommend sleep and time nuking these as opposed to kiting. Works either way, but sleeping is safer.

Ah yes, she is indeed lvl 75, forgot to specify. Thank you both for the information

If there are too many blm's in Mount Z you can also burn Marids in Wajaom Woodlands. They have a lot more HP so you will have to sleep it and rest during the fight. Never gotten a bind/sleep/gravity resist on these.
Edit: Enfeebling skill is very important for soloing, so pick up an Igqira head and if you can afford it the legs too. Macro those and AF body in all enfeebles.

Not near as fast, but Qiqirn RNG types are also an option. There's some in Alzadaal and some in Aydeewa Subterrane.

Alzadaal was a great place to get from 72-75 til they took away 6 of the rng's. ><. It was even a viable merit spot. Well one on each side.

You can have her solo in Uleguerand. My 75 BLM friend on Middie used to pull a steady 5k/hr solo w/o exp ring. And he wasn't even trying (Just doing it while watching his torrented anime on the side)
At least no one really goes into old world anymore, so I'm quite sure you can have those places pretty much to yourself for long periods of time.

I've done Ulu Range and solo'd buffalos. It's fun for a little while but less accessable than those in ToAH areas and sanction bonuses>signet bonuses for a blm.

Due to the way Signet has changed, Uleguerand Range is more worth it for duoing. I duo my RDM with my BLM friend there sometimes thanks to people being so obsessed with BURN ONRY and our really wanting to party together and stay exactly even. With the Signet small-party bonus it rocks! -- Pteryx
