View Full Version : Tattoo Design... need opinions

Hey yall... ive been designing my 3rd tattoo and I wanted to do something with my initials (which are M W) ... so here is what I have so far, let me know what ya think. I like mainly tribal designs, but im very open to new suggestions.

also... fyi -- this is going on my right shoulder blade (on my back)

I like it. It all depends on how big its going to be. Since you already have some ink, I think you may know what you are doing.

Yeah it's a pretty good fit man, and just like Skoal issued the same does matter at times too.

The shoulder blades hurt, have fun with that. IMO opinion a good tattoo has a story, and it appears this one will. A tattoo that is just there because it looks cool is retarded in my book.

Thanks alot guys! Originally I was going to get a full picture of the Arch Angel Michael on my shoulder... full biblical battle gear and everything. But after a few months of looking at it every day, I decided I didnt really want that. So I decided to do something that I personally designed -- something that had a little more meaning =) No one else will be able to say that they have it!

But for some reason it feels so.... incomplete.

It could use some color, and something to fil the empty space to the right of the M.

Small and simple are always good tattos, you thought of gettign your initials in Chineese/japanees symbols as they are very artistic I think.

It's got a great feel to it. I'm into minimal designs, they tend to be more impactful and striking. Even if you still feel unsatisfied you can use it as a springboard, an inspiration. A motif or symbol you feel is important to you it could fill what is missing. You'll know it's gold when your passion tells you.
