Ok, as opposed to derailing that other thread, I'll ask this here.

I've been tweaking my QD damage as well, especially for stuff like this when I get up to endgame level. I have a Moldy to swap in, and I've taken to using Fire Staff often as I don't seem to have much problem landing RAtks at 60(even Sidewinder has a very high hit rate, which surprises me). All this led me to something I never thought would happen...actually using Fire Shot! I can get an extra 10% boost off of the staff added to the Moldy, it's pretty nice. I'm not sure if the staff also helps with QD acc or not, though. I'm getting some Corsair's bullets tonight, I'll probably macro those into my QD as well for max damage.

Here's my planned 75~ set when I get there(at least what I have in MH already, will try to pick up a couple of Pahlahuwohan or w/e pieces):

Joyeuse or Fire Staff
Coffinmaker
Cor's Tricorne
Spectacles
Drone Earring
Vision Earring(Swaps to Moldavite for QD)
Cor's Frac
Crimson Fng. Gauntlets
Garrulous Ring(Swaps to RAcc+/Acc- ring for normal RAtks)
Emerald Ring(Swaps to RAcc+/Acc- ring for normal RAtks & WS')
Bullseye Cape
Gun Belt
War Brais
Cor's Botte's

I am left with a QD question though...How much AGI is enough? My planned 75 set will only have about +19, but I could bump that up to +24 if I picked up a Scouter's Rope and wore my Crimson Greaves instead of my AF boots.

Does my set here look like it would have enough, or should I look to build more of a QD set? My macros are pretty much bursting at the seams so making 2 for a QD set and a normal set will be a bit of a pain, but I'm sure I could work it out if it's really neccesary.

Thoughts?

I am not at 75 yet (still 68 T.T (way too busy lately), but i know that there is 2 set of gear you should get @ 75. One is the Salvage gear (which is hard) but if not get the assault gear (72+ , i think body, pants and boots have great racc.). Those seem to be better then AF in general. Also You could start reduce Racc state if you gotten like 2 million gil and start buying ancient beastcoin off your server, i know with 150, you could trade in for a belt that give +20 Racc. (wow)

Also I am planning to get optical hat and use that over AF hat, since +10 acc+10racc+evasion is better overall if you decide to use sword. (no way i am camping for a joyeuse...)

I'll be honest, if you make AGI gear a low priority for your COR, anyone who isn't a Mithra or Taru is going to get more resists on Quick Draw. Quick Draw Accuracy merits will help diminish this somewhat, but its not a full substitute for AGI build.

As a mithra, I have a 77 base AGI stat at 75 and generally don't run with more than +24 AGI for QD on most EXP/Merit mobs and never really found the need to have more pre-merit. HNMs and Gods there's always going to be resists no matter what race you are, so in those instances I generally carry +30-35 AGI and scarf Squid Sushi +1

Anyway, my QD macros use:

Moldavite earring
Drone Earring x2
Crimson Greaves (failing that, you could get Bounding Boots)
War Brais
Corsair's Tricorne

I don't use Moldavite in Light or Dark Shot, as they no longer do damage.

Additionally, if I feel more than that is needed, I'll start piling on this equipment in static slots I don't macro:

Wind Staff
Blue Cotehardie
Peacemaker

And then for food I use Squid Sushi +1, though I skew to sole for EXP/Merit.

As for Limbus gear, there's not much to be desired there for COR. I already have Suppanomimi, Fenrir's Earring, Drone Earrings, Moldavite earring and then a Joyeuse. I don't see how Brutal Earring and Loquacious Earring will serve me well and if I get the Jeager Mantle, I gave to swap out my Anemet Mantle +1, giving up damage.

Sea Obis and HQ staves will give an improvement to QD damage as well. I'm still finishing off my Breeze Gorget, but Wind, Ice, Earth and Light Obis are high on my list.

Misc Gear I'd tweak:

Drop Spectacles for Qiqirn Collar. No other Neck piece COR gets grants the ranged attack the collar does. Its the best thing going til Breeze Gorget.

Bullseye Cape for Anemet Mantle +1.

Everything else you've covered or seem to have good plans covering later. But if I may add, grab yourself a Peacemaker. +5 AGI on that one and its our best pulling gun, in addition to the fastest gun and the gun that will help you get lower resists on HNM gods, but the damage will be lower due to the low base DMG of this gun

Get a lot of agiiiiiii!

Most of the endgame mobs, are quite fun, in fact they love to resist light shot. The little bastards. SeaPuk's are one of the few common merit camp mobs that sleep well (And Imp's but like, when is the mire free?)

I managed to land my first light shot on a Pudding however yesterday /joy!

I've read some COR have managed to sleep the likes of Vrtra and others.

I'm still semi-convinced AGI on QD is stacked against AGI, because I've only ever had problems with Mamool Ja Lurkers and Infiltraitors and they have high AGI. But its just a hunch I have. Detectors in sky are a problem, too, but I've had more success as my build improves. Aura statues I'm usually 90% effective on. Gods and HNMs are just punks that want to resist a lot of stuff.

In most other cases 99% effective on QD with little problem.

So QD's accurancy is base on AGI ? i always thought it was level differences. Snce i got more resistent wih same gear on higher level the lower level monster of the same type (assuming 1-2 agi differences doesn't make alot for those mob)

Yes, Quick Draw is based on AGI. The more AGI you have, the less potential for resists or, as the game sometime calls them, "misses."

AGI is to COR Quick Draws as CHR is to BRD debuffs.
