There is nothing that tells us they will be "BLM only" grips. Likely, all grips but a very small exception(probably introduced later) will be all jobs.

Edit > Not much they can give to BLM really except for Conserve MP, Fast Cast, or Magic acc/att. But I wouldn't expect much since this adition seems to be more aimed at melee atributes (even if SE says they want to help mages).

Why vs Colibri? I would just as soon say a straight up Magic Attack Bonus +20. And add "Occasionally doubles or triples the damage of an offensive spell". Just for the hell of it.

Number one reason for solo'ing BLM?

Not only does it mimic/parrot spells, but it also has magic damage cut, I think. Parties fighting those really don't want BLM's.

I think he got that. I think he's trying to say that just because everyone's been throwing out jokes doesn't mean we can't examine them seriously, which I guess I can understand but as silly as some of these have been I don't see why you would either.
