I remember a while back, someone had a signature and it said that a guide was being worked on (A member of this forum) I can't remember the DRG ... anyway, does this ring a bell for anyone? I'm just morbidly curious and bored out of my mind.

Thanks ahead. :)

That does for some reason, and I want to say it was a mod with a name that started with a T, maybe Tav something. I think that was where I saw the drg solo guide.

Are you looking for solo spots, or solo methods?

Are you looking for solo spots, or solo methods?

This DRG soloed all the way from 1 to 60+ and based on his/her (I can't tell gender, but I think might've been a Mithran or Hume DRG) experience, I was very interested in the development of his/her soloing guide. I mean, just imagine the patience and endurance to do that w/ just about ANY melee job.

I'm not particularly interested in just any DRG soloing guide. Just the guide that was supposedly worked on by that one DRG. Also, if I remembered correctly, she/he was very enthusiastic about that class and would always have very good advice for newbie DRGs (and veteran players alike)

Not quite ... Tazirai I know was a main SMN and that guide seems to have a bit of partying option with the setup. Also, there was no guide published at the time I last read the DRG's post about it. It was still "work in progress" and "promise to release it as soon as it was completed."

But thank you for trying Necro :)

I remember exactly what you're talking about, but can't recall who it was. They had it in thier signature with lines in it like :

Drg solo guide, work in progress:

I recently took my DRG to 37 and have some experience on this along with some things I've read about for the higher levels (I know some 75 DRG's as well ^^)

Always have level appropriate Meat and HQ if at all possible.
1-15/16: Grilled Black Hare
16-27: Juicy Mutton
27-37: Wild Steak (I forget the exact level to use the steak, but no later than 30 that's for sure)

Always hunt mobs that are weak to piercing if possible (e.g. Don't bother with any bats that will use attack down; it'll really slow you down)
1-8 Mandragora and Bees in East Sarta
7-13: Mandragora and Akbaba in Tahrongi Canyon
15-23: Sylvestre and Zu in Buburimu Peninsula
22/23 - 29: Worms and Bats in Qufim Island
21-31: Bats in Delkfutt's Tower (Hint: Gigas pets have low and fast respawns)
30-33: Mandragora in Yuhtunga Jungle (no earlier than 28 or they will be VT)
28-35: Goblin's Bee (30) and Yhoator Mandragora (they're 35-37)

I've got a lot more I can add but I'll post it later. Oh, and from lv 8+ I found that /BLU was by far the best sub you can use unless you need status healing spells.

LadyKiki (http://www.ffxionline.com/forums/123249-ladykiki.html) is who you're looking for. She recently removed the bar from her sig, but she's the person that's working on the 1-75 solo guide.

She played on my server. Last time I spoke to her she had BST leveled fairly high and was working on that I believe. Her soloing was largely due to the limited time she could play too, which would explain why perhaps she stopped working on the DRG solo guide.

I don't play anymore myself, but I'll see if any of my old friends can get a hold of her for ya. =p

You're welcome ^^; I'll post more later if anyone needs.

Also, you can find similar mobs in other areas, but the main focus is
to fight enemies that are weak to piercing so you get that
25% damage bonus. Generally I'd try to avoid birds as much
as possible since their TP moves are really, really devastating I find.

I can't say I've ever had a fun time fighting them in La Theine. So
many close calls > <

Well, anyone has any luck with ladykiki's DRG solo guide! i having a great interest on that guide, but been searching on the entire forum still can't find it >.<! as recently been tie up with some responsibility and don't have much time to play my drg (emm..... at the moment manage to get it till lvl61) and sort of been stuck at 61.

i am really keen to take drg as my 1st job to lvl 75, beside my rdm which is lvl 60 now. But due to lacking of time to play and wondering where is the best play to solo as well!

please, ladykiki if you see this could you post some your advise - really much and greatly appreciate ^^

I was thinking 63+ for those but 61 may be do-able.
