hello everyone i am about to start ff and i was hoping that one of the vets could help me with some stuff in game and so i would have someone i know in game when i started. if anyone could help plz reply. thanks

Hun, before you ask this question, you need to figure out what server you are on. When you join the game, your server will be chosen for you (there are twenty, I believe). There are different servers with different people on them to split up the population, so all 500,000+ of us aren't crammed onto one server. So, join the game, figure out what server you're on, and then ask a few questions.

Mad? I wasn't mad at you in the least. We need to know your server...it's like knowing what country you live in. Listen:

I'm on the Fairy server. When you join the game, a server will be chosen for you. If you end up on Garuda or Odin, or any other server I won't be able to help you in game because we are not on the same server (or country, if you so wish). You'll have to seek the help on that server. I just can't jump over servers to help you, so I can only help you if you end up on Fairy.

I understand that you're new to this and trying to keep my patience, but I can only do that if you keep yours and listen.

Best thing to do is what Lilani said, but I would also take a day to mess around with the game some, walk around, and get a feel for the place first ^.^

Actually, seeing as he said he was "about to start" meaning he hadn't started yet, if someone had offered to help then he could of simply chosen their server. Rather than pick a server and possibly get no help because no one is on that server.

You did the right thing, you made a polite post in the forums, if anyone got "mad" it was down to their own faults not yours.

You're welcome to come to Sylph server and I'd help you when I can but I don't seem to have a lot of time on my hands at the moment so someone else could probably give you a better offer.
