How do you make certain items?

I was just wondering how to control the making of certain items (ex. Swords, rings, Necklaces, and so on)? Is there a guide or is it just hit or miss? Can you show me some examples of items you may have created?

try using te search option for these forums (top right) i know it's in one of the boards... forgot which, but u might aswell make use with the search button^^ it's flashing for a reason try looking for something like guild recipes

yeah there are certain recipes that you have to look up to make certain things, kinda like diablo where you could make things from the cube, by putting in different things and combining them all except in ffxi you have to go to the guilds and stuff
