ENM 60: Automaton Assault

I was wondering (more specifically towards Tarus) if anyone has done this before? and if you have, any suggestions/strats that you might offer for it.

I did this (Hume) as RDM/NIN, NIN/WAR, BLM/WHM. Nothing really special, except the NIN spammed Shuriken to hurt the Mithra.

I've done the Elvaan one a lot. As a taru, you would lose the really squishy one in favour of the Elvaan - who is weak to skillchains. I used to do this as rdm/whm, with a nin/war and our third member would either come as rng or mnk depending on what he had been on earlier in the day.

Start with one, either on the left or right, and just work your way through. Even if you fail the first time, no xp loss - it is a really easy bc. Now I just wish the damn mage earring would drop for me...

Oh and a mage with poison potions is a smart move to counteract Shockwave. 2 should last the whole fight.

Shockwave is absorbed by two shadows of Utsusemi. If those in melee have shadows, they won't get slept. I was in there meleeing with daggers and enspells (which tore the Galka up, 30+ per hit).

Hehehe my Thunder IIs were doing nearly 750 damage - as rdm.

Hmmm, Elv rdm doing 750... Sounds like it might not be too hard if set up right? =p

It's not hard - you have to remember what each one is weak to and try and cover as much as you can. A nin can spam shirukens for damage to mithra, a mnk can destroy the Hume, nin and rdm together can destroy the galka. But it can be done with odd settings - just try and make sure you have as many options covered as possible.
