How come my map of Beadeaux has an arrow point to this place of "Pashhow Swamp?" I can't find that place anywhere in Vana'diel, and when I zone into the area the arrow is pointing to, I zone into some place called "Pashhow Marshlands."
Seriously though, is Pashhow Swamp what Pashhow Marshlands used to be called long ago, or does swamp kinda imply the meaning of marshlands? What's up?

Swamp and marshlands are synonyms, thus they are quite interchangeable.
It's quite possible somewhere along the line, SE decided to mess with your head, but they also tend to do stuff like that on a normal basis.

Perhaps that stretch of area near Beadeaux is the swamp?
Probably just a translation mistake.
It's just two different things. I'm pretty sure there are other zones with uncommon names like that, I think that Yhoat is referred to at one point as the "Elshimo Jungle".
It's not that SE couldn't have changed the name though- Passhow Swamp could be was it was named in the Japanese version, and they decided to change it to Marshlands to make it sound better to American ears. SE has changed the names of places before- although before they were released, and they also changed the entire point of them apparently. Appolyon and Tenemos used to be Lower Promyvion and the Ou'Hpat Obelisk. A friend of mine who is practically on expert on CoP (As many different people he's taken through it, he should be) says that Ou'Hpat Obelisk is actually mentioned in the storyline at one point, and the way it was changed into Tenemos makes a plot hole or inconsistency, or something to that effect, but I would have to ask him to remember the specifics.
