Blu/smn?

I'm working out my little subjob checklist now and considering adding SMN to the mix. /THF and /RDM are also on my list, but /THF is a higher priority at this time.

I'm mainly curious about how BLU/SMN combination works out in Tank PTs at high level, if anyones tried it, I realize this combo doesn't do as much as a melee sub may for Physical spells, but I'm thinking more to the end of defense here.

Guess first question would be how Diamonhide stacks up against Earthen Ward and if they're worth rotating. Aerial Armor is a plus, along with the occasional Cocoon-ga even if its every 20 mins. I guess with this approach, it would be set up for support and enfeebling instead of physical magic.

Big hole in your theory. Earthen Ward is Titan46. So you and a SMN/ could alternate casting, to save mp, but you wouldn't be able to directly.

Wiki quotes Diamondhide as absorbing Blue skill *2/3, and Earthen Armor as 50 + lvl*2. So, at 67, when you get Diamondhide, that's 157ish for 99mp vs Earthen's 184 for 92mp. Assuming capped skills and whatnot. Definitely worth alternating, if you are with a SMN, though he can throw it every minute.

Ah, ok, I forgot to look up Earthen Ward before I thought about asking. Still, Aerial Armor + Diamond Hide doesn't sound to shabby.
