3 man pt... Steamed sprouts. Can it be done?

I was looking at the ffxiwiki list of BSTable BCNMs and I started thinking about this little old BCNM nammed Steamed sprouts.

If I remember correctly for a full pt setup you have a BRD sleeping the mandys, with a WHM healing him. Then you have 3 DDs and a tank deal with everything one at a time.

So I began thinking, I know that you can do a PT of 6 BSTs just running in, charming all the white ones. Killing the black one, and then killing each one one at a time. But I was wondering if you could do it with a bit more style.

I was thinking, why not strip it down further. One BRD and 2-3 BSTs should be enough. You have the BRD sleep everything. and the BSTs grab a mandy each and wail on the Black one. Then the BSTs take turns killing each other's pet(after leave) so it has lowered HP.

This way you have enough downtime, and a pt should be able to kill nicely, you might not even need pet food at all.

Now me being of a very low lvl, this is all speculaion. Bt I would like to know if anyone has tryed this out. If so what were your results?

No dedicated healer for the BRD. BRD Dies when they wake up the second time.

Probably can't do enough damage to the black one with just two mandies.

I don't *think* mandies are very friendly with charm, so you'd probably have hard luck if you're only trying to get two at a time

The BRD will be sleeping your pets, so you will probably be charming a mob that is completely useless to you.

Those are just a few of the problems that stick out in my mind.

BSTs will have to bring along pet food. BRD sleeps the mandies. BSTs charm a pet. BSTs reward their sleeping pet to wake them up.

But that small issue is the least of your worries trying to do this with only 3 members.

Oh right, I forgot cures wake things up. FFXI is weird when you don't play it.

mandies are resistant to charm, I've never done it but i doubt it can be done with 2 BSTs because you won't have enough pets whacking at the mob at the same time.
2 BSTs can't achieve what 6 BSTs can do, because 6 BSTs will have 6 pets fighting with one tanking (hate bouncing, but yah) so DMG done is greater than DMG taken, unlike 2BSTs who may run out of white mandies with the main mob at high HP <.<
3 BSTs may do it though.
