Ok I am a new black mage, and I was wandering ware the hell do I begin? Are all the black mage spells important? Whats the best town to start in as a black mage? What server should I join? I basicaly just need to know what the hell to do to get started on the right path lol....

I also forgot to add is there any difference in the "Windows Vista' Version then in the "Windows XP" Version. I also didnt see that thread..sorry this comps font is to small lol....

If you have friends who already play the game, join their server. If not, any server would do. Each town has its charms (but San d'Oria's music drives me batty), so just pick which ever you like the best. I do recommend mages start in Windurst for cooking, though it's not an absolute requirement.

Basically, the idea is to kill monsters (make sure to check them first; taking on "Incredibly Tough" critters by yourself is a bad idea). When they die, they can drop some items. Sort you inventory often, to stack items, which saves inventory room. (Not all items are stackable.)

Save EVERY Beastmen's Seal. By the time you appreciate why, you'd be very happy you did.

Sell the rest (until you look into crafting). Check the auction house to see if each item is worth selling on auction house (you can only put up 7 items at a time), or if it should be sold to NPC. The funds will pay for your equipment, spells, food, and drinks.

Speaking of drinks, if you play to level BLM after playing a few levels, take up Cooking, and learn to make juice. Oh, and yes, you'll probably want every spell you can learn, until maybe Stonega II.

meaning this synth caps at lvl 10 so you don't need to take cooking far to make them i think Saruta Oranges drop in the Windy begining area's and crabs drop Water Crystals
1 MP every 3 seconds for 90 seconds, 30 total
this means you get 1 MP when standing every 3 seconds,

Hey thanks u guys, I will do cooking then I was thinking about that anyway, didnt make sense to me at first but it does now! :P and i made that juice too! :D
