I was wondering if anyone knows what jobs are thought to be announced for the expansion and what such jobs would do in party. I really want to Play as a COR or RNG but since I'm new I don't have the money to fund them. If anyone has an idea of what will be coming, please state here.

Currently, the only information we have is a short preview. Square Enix wants up to figure out what's happening in the preview. In my opinion, they didn't give enough information. The majority of the preview features things that are already installed.
So to answer your question, we don't know if there are jobs coming in the new expansion pack. It SHOULD though. After ToAU came out, numerous people began to ask SE for new jobs because they know that SE actually listens to us.

supposely (keep in mind these are all rumors) time mage might be a new job due to the fact that WoG has to do with the past. But i really don't know what specialty it could do...(maybe a lil like whm, warp ppl to the past if the expansion consists of going to the past?)
I dunno, SE will think of something, there are about 20-50 (maybe more) jobs throughout the final fantasy series.

well speculation:
Time Mage
Chemist/Alchemist
Mystic Knight
Absolutely nothing is confirmed by SE but these three jobs seem to be the most requested...
WOG likely won't have new jobs, three reasons.
1- Not much left to add that would actually be unique.
2- We already have 18 jobs, perfect amount for an alliance. Which is to say, all the jobs of FFXI can be represented in a single group
3- Release history makes it unlikely we'll get new jobs. RTZ: New jobs, many more areas in the game. COP: No jobs, 95% storyline. TAU: New jobs, many more areas in game. WOG: ....

there are only about 5 more 'classic' FF jobs not implemented in the game yet anyway, at least two of which are basically superseded by the way they implemented existing jobs.
and like feba says, the dev team working on WoG has no experience with adding new job content, so it's unlikely that they'll be given a task to add new jobs.
I would not be at all surprised to see the total number of jobs brought to 21 someday - presupposing entirely classic FF jobs, I'd bet on chemist, geomancer, and then either mime or mystic knight. (I realize that excluded time mage - I think the job is already overlapped by other mages and SE is not trying to encourage the exp burn mentality at all levels, which I think time mage would do if it were to be better than a half-assed blackmage.) but! I doubt that we'll see any of these jobs in the near future.

Entertainment industry doesn't care about europe, why should the fans?

Because the word wog is a racist remark and canbe thought of for the wrong reasons. we don't want to be racist here now do we.... I suggest WOTG is best used.

For simplicity and so I don't have to think about it, I believe simply calling it Wings would be easier.
actually I usually called it WTG, since FFXI expansions of four letter acronyms are silly, and Of is less important than The. The OP just tricked me.

I still think Wings is good. I don't know about anyone else but when talking about the expansions, I don't use an acronym, but one of the words. Zilart, Promathia, Treasures, and presumably by this winter, Wings.
lurk moar. I always call it TAU.
Mhurron: That will get mixed up with TV though.

Because so many people talk about the 90s sitcom Wings here.
Most people refer to it as TOAU, from what I've seen.

Most players aren't old enough to remember Wings.
I'm surprised that you do.
I'm surprised that you do.
You have to remember, before I started spending most of my time on the interweb, I spent most of my time glued to a TV set, and at night there's nothing on but crappy reruns.
