In reply to The World Transfer Service, (http://www.ffxionline.com/forums/general-ffxi-discussion/66763-world-transfer-service-now-operation.html) I thought it would be a nice idea if everyone would tell a little something about their own server. Everyones own experience, so that people that are looking for new worlds, can look on these forums, and take the opinions of people into consideration. All in one thread, so one doesn't have to ask each time what server to go to, or search through all server forums. I think it wouldn't be bad if multiple people tell about their own experience with their servers. Preferably people with different levels and regions(Germans, French, Spanish and such).
I'd wait a month, because servers are about to go through some major changes. Hallo thar unstable economies for the next three months.

Bahamut - one of the most populous servers, but comes with a lot of drama baggage. Home of Blue Gartr and SisteForsok. High jp population, which can mean getting a party at certain times of the day is a nightmare.
Reasonable EU population, way too many endgame shells, but there is at least some attempt at organisation with a central dynamis booking site.
If I was being honest, I certainly wouldn't recommend coming to Bahamut at this point in time - this is one of the servers which is going to truly suffer from overpopulation. Just from reading forums, we have had several transfer here within an hour of the service being available.

Ya no kidding, where are the cool people going, I want to tag along and leech some coolness.
BTW, I was not expecting this this morning, this is somewhat surprising.

I'm just staying put. I have too many friends on Midgardsormr and they'lll help me out if I ask nice....well at least on missions ^^
I can't say much for the state of the server becase I'm usually in my own little grop but I haven't had too much trouble. I haven't gotten into anything endgame because I'm really more into finishing Zilart(considering if anyone wants to do a devine might run just so I can finish the next mission), Promithia and I'm just starting TAoU...

Nope :P, I wanted to record the ZM4 bcnm but my game recording software doesn't work with Vista yet, so I just started leveling BLU for a bit while I wait for a new version.

I'm probably going to dynamis tonight because I wont leave them short. After that ill duo on my ninja to zm6 if you want lol ill be bored and not know too many people outside lunar cry
HMMM never really got into the economic / populus sideuntill recently
Lakshmai < still can't spell it after 2 years > is mostly Jp and US players
Never been defeated in besieged YARRR!!!
Strange price flux from time to time though
Any high EU populated servers out there?
Ifrit
Has A few major end game ls
The Three Kingdoms (Old ls camps hnms occasionally)
Valour (Solid sea/sky ls seems to have moved away from endgame)
Fate Sealers (Solid endgame ls one of if not the top endgame ls on ifrit, hnms sea/sky ksnm 99 everything really)
Atariii (Solid ls big hnms, honest about their claims)
Ackz (break of ls of valour the new kid on the block really, not exactly upstanding as some other ls)
Drama usually is annoying and usually fails at getting some laughs. A good amount of English and Eu players, slightly less JP then other servers.

Anyone see any increase or decrease in AH prices since Migration was opened?? I know its been only a few hours....just checked FFXIAH and fairy's popluation went up 20 people...don't know how accurate that is tho
It will only grow populations will not subtract from the AH. So Servers will seem more crowded then they are. half of the people whose name start with sev on ifrit have been banned still show up as in game tho.
lol everyone to lakshami to join my ls
i think one of my friends started over there man i haven't talk to him forever

Bahamut: I'd feel bad, but you had it coming :P
Titan: Dragon's Aery is about get a little lighter.
Midgardsormer and Fairy: See Bahamut, but you will be plagued by more IGNers than they will.
Next thing you know all of bg moves to titan lol

I don't know which world to go to... but I know which NOT to go to... ASURA. Folks aren't very friendly round these parts. Kind of dead too... Camps are always open, so no worries there, but good luck finding a pt to camp with! This is based on my knowledge of the lv 35 and below group in Asura. In any case, I think I'll be moving to Hades, I've got an uber powerful cousin lives there. Thanks!
have fun!!! has ne one actually gone thru the process yet?

I don't really care, the ls I am in are doing sea a fair bit by the looks of it (and the lolsea comments will still stand for a lot of people) and we do stuff at EU prime. Nothing is gonna affect that too much.
Glad I'm out of Aery.

Keep an eye on the population numbers if you can for NA prime time. It should be good enough for everyone to laugh at you.
I mean for a laugh. You know, in general, not at you.

So far Ifrit sounds most interesting. Didn't see anything bad about Kujata and Lakshmi, but not good things either.
More people need to talk abut their servers. If you're server is good, don't be worried that your server will get crowded iin the next few weeks because of a message you post here. The more, since only FFXIOnline members will read it. The worst thing that could happen is little Feba's, DakAttack's or Neighbortaru's running arund in the dunes.
Is the Blue Gartr ls worthy of switching servers?
No-go list:
Bahamut
Asura
Titan
Midgardsormr
Fairy
(Ramuh?)
I personally would recommened to not go to Sylph or Asura.
Sylph is like Asura, a lot of gilsellers, and a lot of drama and roleplaying. A lot of immature partys, and at random levels (from 10 to 70) there are awful waiting times.
Remora has less roleplay, and less drama, but a lot of annoying kids. There's a whole "reputation" thing going on there. More as on other servers. It's like a cult. If you don't be careful what you're doing, you suddenly get harrassed or boycotted by players you never saw before, because they heard gossips. There's a fair amount of gilsellers too, but not too annoying. Looking for party is not as bad, but still a bunch of immature partys during certain times of the day.

Whether or not BG is worth going to is moot, as they have closed recruitment due to this world transfer service.
Personally, I haven't seen much of a difference between the servers I've been on (Seraph, Bahamut, Asura, Fairy, Valefor, Carbuncle). They are all pretty interchangeable.

I only say you shouldn't come to Ramuh because there's LOTS of drama queens here. That said there are a lotta decent players here too and having a few more wouldn't hurt.
Anyways I didn't give any kind of idea why you should come to our server so I'll do so now:
- Our economy is one of the cheapest you can find anywhere. If you happen to have a decent amount of gil saved up and have a craft leveled, you'd make a bundle.
- The HNM/endgame scene, while packed with drama as always, is one of the most competitive. Before I started doing this stuff, I thought it was dominated by two linkshells - DarkHearts & CtrlAltElite (who are both a bunch of friggin' idiots). There's actually MANY more Endgame groups than this (TheAfterLife, Pixies, VIRTUE, Evangelion, etc.), some have specific focus (on Dynamis or Sky or w/e) and all of them have their good and bad points.
- We had an all-BST linkshell called Charmed. I think the ls leader moved to another server..
- We have very healthy-sized British, French/Canadien & Polish populations, if you're looking for people from your own country.
If you do decide to come to Ramuh, look me up and I'll be glad to recommend some linkshells.
Carbuncle has had an entire jp hnmls move, and kujata had an alliance from garuda in da last night i think?

I think i might move to either of the servers i used to be on either Siren or Bahamut but seeing how bahamut is already a lil over populated i think my new home is gonna be siren maybe start up ChampionsOfLight LS again if someone hasn't already...See if Celmario, Shiina and Chirasi are still online and playing...

Man, there's no debate needed. Pandemonium is so middle-of-the-road, that I bet a fair number of our people leave for more "exciting" servers. Which will leave Pandy as an even cleaner slate than before. Seriously, I'm the only person I ever see talking about Pandy at all. It's ripe for the picking.
And while they aren't dedicated to doing specific things, I am in 2 LSs (one as the shell-holder, one as a sackholder) where I can freely throw pearls about. The one I started only houses me, my RL brother, my RL cousin, and some guy that plays (miraculously) even less than I (though I would make time to play with anybody here; I do plenty in bursts when I decide I want to, but just don't play at times when I feel aimless). But that basically gives me 2 goombas who will join in on anything at all.
The 2nd is the Limit Break Radio shell for our server, which is just starting out. I don't know what that will turn into, but I got that old pearly sack to let anyone in.
I mean, if anybody just wants out of their current server, what's not to like about freaking Pandemonium (besides the fact that I'm there)?

Or if you don't have a decent amount, you are screwed!!!
I have to farm silk threads and beehive chips and dhalmel parts to make money!
I've been making scorpion arrows on Ramuh, making everything from farming the claws and making into arrowheads to having a friend synth the arrows for me.
In the past week, the scorpion stacks have dropped from 20k to a solid 16k :(
I'm currently sitting on 10 stacks of quivers, waiting for the market to thin out :wasted:

Yeah tell me about it.. I had a mule full of Wind and Dark crystals for about two weeks recently, before the prices started going up to 1k/stack.
I also farm Revival Roots and sell em in Windy.. it's a good profit there for some reason.

I can't get on enough to look at the starter city AHs...I do most of my dealing at Jeuno.
I wish ffxiah.com kept track of all the auction houses, not just Jeuno/Whitegate. Man, that would be so nice at work.

I am currently on rag and can't say much about it seeing as I just started yesterday :P
Anyways, heard it has among the smallest population and economies so thinking I should start again on another server.
Given that I live in australia and speak japanese and that I am a new player are there any suggestions for a server? So I would probably prefer a server with high japanese population. Would also like to join a good LS too.
Or is what I have heard exagerated and I should just stick to Rag?
Thanks

Fenrir here. Endgame seems pretty much non-existant, and not a lot of people helping each other.
Id move, but I have a lot of good friends over here, just a shame that not a lot of them play these days.
AH prices arent too bad, cant say Ive noticed a lot of RMT around these days - this server is like a 'family' server, Ive seen quite a few real life families playing, mothers, fathers, sons, cousins etc all having their own LSs.
