I know that this thread has already been submitted, but I want to start a discussion because of the recent update in which they stated that certian items/actions will increase the damage potential of the meritted BP's.

So here is my question to all of you high level smn's out there....

1. How are you merits spread out?
2. Has anyone maxed out in the Magical Accuracy / Magical Damage?
3. Does maxing out the magical damage increase the Merited BP's damage @ 100% tp?
4. Are there other items / merits that increase there potential?

See picture attached. :)

2. Has anyone maxed out in the Magical Accuracy / Magical Damage? In my case nope :)

3. Does maxing out the magical damage increase the Merited BP's damage @ 100% tp? The merit increases the base damage a magical attack does, the more TP the higher the base damage so I would say yes although I cannot confirm this.
Maybe someone that did merit magical attacks can.

4. Are there other items / merits that increase there potential?Depends on the avatar you use on which time of the day,

Dream shroud increases Nether Blast potency and if Glittering ruby gives an int boost to Carbuncle Meteorite also increases marginally in damage.
The solo ENM60 in Movalpolos has a chance of dropping the astral pot which also increases an avatar's magical attack when used.
Otherwise there is really nothing that increases magical damage except for avatar TP with the exception of Diabolos as TP has no effect on Nether Blast.

Summoning magic skill only adds accuracy which means magical attacks get resist less, however it will not increase the attacks base damage.

Just wondering if you had ever gotten a chance to try with a COR's Drachen Roll(increases pet magic atk/acc)? I've been wondering how effective it is before I drop 82k on it ; ;. I also wanted to test if it affects Astral Flow damage or not, my common sense would tell me that it would, but won't know until I test it.

I never got to test that out, maybe it will make a differense but it depends on the roll as well I think.

Nether Blast would be great to test it on as it is a pact which always does the same damage unbuffed on most mobs and hardly get resisted.
Honestly I never even considered Pet buffs from Corsairs XD

I guess the statement that I was talking about was:

2. The following blood pacts available from the summoner' Group 2 merit point category will receive larger TP bonuses based on attribute increases, as well as a boost in damage from TP:
Meteor Strike/Heavenly Strike/Wind Blade/Geocrush/Thunderstorm/Grand Fall

I currently have heavenly strike and Grand fall and cannot really notice a huge jump in damage. (Maybe + 100~200 damage @ almost 200% tp.)

Maybe I was just hopeing for something more.

From testing the merited bloodpacts (thread can also be found on Allakhazam), there are no tiers of TP for them. The damage increase is directly proportional to the amount of tp you have and it increases steadily. Each tp seems to add 1.5 - 2.0 points of damage which means these pacts will usually do 1100 at 300tp and a magic burst will result in additional damage.

3 and 4 seems to have been answered so i'll do the first two.
1. My merits are maxed

smn skill in magical category 8/8
avatar magical acc/elemental perpetuation both 5/5
Merit Bloodpacts are HS1 /MS1 /WB2 /GF1 /GC1

I'm rethinking my merit bloodpacts though and trying to condense them down to just having 2 of them maxed 3/3 or doing 3 at 2/3. I've been noticing that I don't use them all, and they are much more valuable when they are magic bursted. Since you don't see planned skillchains in merit parties anymore and every endgame event doesn't have a magic burst, i'm wanting to find 2 or 3 that are bursted most commonly and focus on them. I'm thinking I will redo them by planning around the ones I know are going to get used for bursting skillchains:

Wind Blade (Used for fragmentation on Fafnir/nidhog/ksnm99)
Heavenly Strike (darkness skillchains and shiva gains tp quickly with rush)
Grand Fall (the only other strong water spell in the game is flood2)
Meteor Strike( for Jorm and undead enemies which are light skillchained)
but anyway just thinking about redoing those now that i know thier potential.
