Going to return to FFXI soon, are people still doing CoP and ZM?

I quit about a few months ago and I'm starting really want to play again (after checking FFXIAH and noticing SH is no longer 7million gil). I contacted customer support and made sure my characters are still around. However, I may make a Hume to play on as a main, and will have to do CoP all over again and do ZM.

BTW: I have a Elvaan (40 MNK, can't hit the side of a barn) who has done DEM, and a Mithra(73 SAM, 63 RDM, can barely scratch the barn) who is on COP 2-5. My Mithra does have boots and gloves of AF2 though. Think its worth starting a Hume? I haven't done any ZM missions on either of them.

It's up to you. I've certainly started over more than once, and it hasn't hurt me any. But honestly, your Mithra or Elvaan would be fine.

People still rush through ZM to get folks to Sky, and you may find more people willing to do CoP missions with in light of recent changes made to them. I don't know for sure on that one though.

Thats good to hear. It took me 6 months to get through mea, dem, and holla the first time.

Mithra ability animation and great katana animations just annoy me for some reason. But my mithra is my only character that will ever wear a subligar. I dont care how good the stats are, Elvaan and Hume just should not do it!

There are people who do CoP and ZM and such. Heck, I need those, and I'm organizing an LS CoP 5.1/5.2 run this weekend. :biggrin:

I would hate to do mission with random pickup groups, though; friends and LS only for me. Slow pace plowing through them doesn't bother me all that much...

I've been around for over 2 years now and don't have these yet (part of this is that I'm in an RPLS and we have some prerequisites story-wise we haven't managed to achieve yet (in part due to being diverted into several Aht-Urhgan-based arcs), as well as having had trouble getting enough people with the right jobs to do a full-RPer Promy run), and many others have delays in leveling or job choices that may have slowed or prevented progress, particularly for CoP.

Also, there's a significant influx of new players from the xbox360 release, many of whom probably haven't even hit rank 6 yet.
