So I got FFXI for the 360 a few months back played it for the month of free service but became too busy to actually continue and pay for it. I uninstalled it from my 360 and now I have the time to play it and wanted to really badly the other day. When i went to go reinstall FFXI, it would install about 5% and then an error message came up, so i checked my CD to find a nice scratch across the CD.

I was wondering if anyone knew if any rental stores had FFXI, or if there was anyway i could get just the CD so i could reinstall everything without having to go spend 20 bucks on another CD with extra keys...

thanx in advance

(edit: i just noticed im pretty sure this is in the wrong area of the forums, i dont know how i didn't notice, i meant to put it in FAQ and cant find how to move it....sorry)

Only a very dumb rental store would have FFXI for rent.

Try eBay?

unless you can borrow off a friend, no, there are no other legal ways to get the CD

Someone posted a sale of the 360 version for like, $13 recently. That'd be worth it, I'd imagine.

edit: It's $20 at Gamestop. You really can't beat that price.

So i just went ahead and bought another one for $20. I'm patching atm.

If anyone wants/needs the extra cd keys for POL, FFXI, and all 3 expansions, im willing to strike a deal just pm me about it.

Thank you all for your help, just thought i'd let you know what i ended up choosing to do about it.

You're going to need the CD anyway to boot the game!

but isn't it possible for someone who has it on their PC to use the keys? or are they specific to the specific platform theyre on?

It would save someone who was using a buddy key on the PC the trip to the store and maybe a few dollars.
