Anyone know if a RDM/BLU can solo the Orc Warlord in the the Cave in Dovai? i still don't have Ni ; ;

What level are you? Because those orcs are lvl 73ish or so and are very easy if I remember correctly, only problem I see are links really.

RDM/BLU might. RDM can take out the Ruby Quadav before they kill Maat, they should be around the same amount of difficulty, plus Orc's main annoyance is AOE attacks, with BLU you don't need to worry about them. As with anything, go try it, and if you die, you learned something.

You should be able to kill them easily then, I've killed em even as /WAR while on the way to get coffer keys iirc.

Orc Warlord is a NM

I wouldn't recommend it without utsusemi. That guy hits HARD and you don't want him to land hits on you with Blood Weapon up. There's no real danger of links, since he spawns in a room with only one other orc that you can take out ahead of time. I killed him once as rdm/whm, so you could definately do it with /blu, but it was really difficult. I had to Bind him and step back to Convert, and I think I had to finish him off with panicked Chainspell Blizzard IIIs.

I wouldn't call that mob a NM really, he is true sight and stuff but he is really weak.

Unless you already tried and he sent you back to your (Mog House) that is. <.<


Edit> Taskmage are you sure? I remember wiping the floor with that NM many times before. I'll have to go fight him again to check that out. o.O

And yeah sometimes you can even see a NM in each room if you are farming those.

I'm sure I had a hard time, ya. I had a blm friend with me and burned some Cure IVs trying to save his butt and take hate back, and /whm wasn't really doing anything for me so those might have been mitigating factors. >.> I remember his melee damage being brutal though. Like 3 hits to break stoneskin. If I went back there with /war or /blu it would probably be much easier, but I don't see myself "wiping the floor with him" without /nin.

I only fought him once though, so maybe I just had bad luck. /shrug

You know, when I use the term "wiping the floor with" as a RDM I mean I didn't get into any troubles with MP or anything like that, but I'm sure the fight took a long time like all the other RDM fights. :rofl:

And to think only BRDs deal worse damage than we do...

it's not hard to use one hand to type on my laptop and auto run with the other holding a Xbox pad

with 480 odd DEF he broke stoneskin in about 5 hits and hits for around 60 a hit (what happened last time)

tried soloing the other Orc in the hall and aggored 2 other Orcs escaped with 200 HP
