KS30 Opinions

Hey guys,

I was just wondering how everyone feels about KS30 “mercenary” groups.

Seems to be two ways of thinking about it:

1. BLMs ripping players off by doing the runs. I guess this is because they don’t get to keep all the drops.
Problem with this is, if they didn’t keep some of the drops to make gil, they wouldn’t be doing it in the first place.

2. BLMs are allowing players who wouldn’t be able to win KS30s (because of insufficient level or lack of other players to do runs with)
to use their KSs to make some money.

I think the reason this “business” has sprung up is how incredibly easy the runs are for the group.
No worrying about lost orbs of failed runs. People would just rather get their quick and painless gil, even if it’s significantly less,
instead of actually having to try.

What do you guys think?

I think before you posted this I have never heard of such a ridiculous idea.

Get a group of friends to help you if you need it. Stop helping people make money easier than you!
Thats how I feel about people who actually use Blm mercs for this.

The only problem I see with this is it causes item inflation. If the blms and the people they're doing the fight for can come to an agreement about what fair rewards for each of them are, I don't see how anyone else has a right to complain about the blms "ripping people off." And like you said, the people who would accept this deal probably don't have the connections or are just too lazy to put together a KSNM group for themselves, so they're still getting more money out of their seals this way than they would have.

Simple fact of your becoming a mercenary just be careful once you go down the road of "Oh Cruton charges people for help," you better pray you have a great group of friends to help you with anything you need, Otherwise you will get charged to get help.

Your much better off doing a Pool everything and split gil evenly and bring your own orb to the fight.

There are constant shouts for these in aht urgan and jeuno on Odin.

Basically, lots of blms believe this is the only way for them to make money.

I don't see how anyone could say that the blms rip ppl off. On Odin they let the person with the orb keep v claw and serket ring if they drop. Thats 1.5 mil total that the person doesn't have to share.

We have pick up shouts for people but no blms charging for anything lol, I even have a ksnm/bcnm perma group with 2 friends.

There are a few groups that do it on Pandy, and it works fine.

I have a much easier time farming KS, grabbing an orb and having these guys give me a definite win. They get 30% on any of the big ticket items. If nothing great drops, you get it all.

You can call it lazy or whatever term you want. I call it an efficient use of time and resources.

I didn't leave anything out. There are blms who only make money this way. There is nothing wrong with that and it doesn't make them lazy.

I know what you said and what you refered to, and it had NO VALUE what so ever.

No one gets to high level anything without knowing more than 1 way to make gil. So instead of posting a useless comment attempting to show your superiority, you could have pointed that out. Maybe you could have suggested that to them, they believe this is the best way to make gil. Which for some of them it is.

And SevIfrit, posting something to tell me to read something, is just as useless as posting something that doesn't add any value.

Used bold incase you forgot to read the statement this time. Now a quick reminder, Cruton is the Original Poster. I was telling you to reread because you are making an ass out of your self here, but idc ne more. And all opinions hold value, the point is to work together but having to pay to do a bcnm either shows me you’re not well liked, or the fact you don’t help others so you can’t get help yourself. Originally I read the op's statement wrong, I still think people can help out and Blm's charging should just have an orb and sell and split all, that’s how it’s done on my server at least. But to call someone's opinion useless is wrong, and last time I checked my opinion isn't law so go do what you want but don’t come on a board and call others opinions pointless.

He's telling you to re-read because you still miss the point of the OP's statement. No one is saying that if you use this way to make money you're lazy but idea that this is the one and only way for any blm to make money is just down right naive. This doesnt go to say that if you make money this way you are naive, its saying that if you believe this is your only option, then you are naive.
