FFXIclopedia has a pretty good list of hidden and latent effects and their triggers (http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Latent_Effect) but oddly Orphic Egg isn't on it. ... /edit

So, what you're saying is... its crap after level 10.

But one thing I've always wondered is if there's a hidden effect to Fortune and Lucky eggs, in addition to "lucky" items. I keep a lot of this stuff on my mithra and seem to have good fortune with BCNM and NM.

Could it be these items... or could it be the luck of the Corsair? :0

Seems like for some jobs, there's really nothing better to put in the ammo slot for many levels, while this looks pretty good when there's a Bard in the party. Is there anything substantially better I can use on my Mithra PLD before Bibiki Seashell? What about MNk and DRG?

Fortune Egg gives +1% MP +1 VIT. Not much. Civet Satchet would give more +1 DEX and +1 AGI

There's not a lot of great ammo items til 60+ that I can think of.
