No matter if I turn the simplified images on or off...I can never get the videos to show up while creating a new character. Is there something wrong with the way that installed the game? Or maybe it's just my PC?

The...videos for when you create a character? A friend of mine just got the 07 collection for PC and this was the first time seeing the models more around. Not just like a head shot of the character as you make it. I want to see pretty Elvaan ><.

That's odd. Unchecking the box should do it.
I know that my PC used to black out whenever I tried before I checked simplified ver., your PC might be doing the same- But SE changed it to protect FFXI from crashing.
