Incredibly Slow

Hrm... I started fishing yesterday for as a level 0 for moat carp. I caught about 80 of them before I advanced to level 1 o.O! Wondering if I'm doing something wrong or is this insanely slow leveling supposed to be? On the brightside I now have a lot of moat carp ;P. I'd really like to advance though.

Yes, it really is that slow. If it makes you feel any better, this is actually much faster than it used to be. ;)

I find that with this game the more patient you are the better you will notice it gets. You are not catching any more or less fish because you are a low level, it's only the speed and the kind of fish you can catch. Honestly as you start to skill up it gets faster and faster. If you'll notice this is like just about any other thing in the game. It gets better as you get to later levels. For instance when I started trying to do Marksmanship I barely got any skillups at all until it started hitting and the more it hit the more skillups I got. Can any one confirm this suspicion?
