 Please help me. I took a break sometime ago and before i left i started raising a choco. Well my problem is now I am in Basic Care cut scene hell and can't release my choco to start over again.
I am on day 150 and there seems to be no end. I end up ctrl, alt, delete to get out of FFXI so i can get out of the cut scenes. Is there anything I can do to bypass these cutscenes and start over.

Nope. You shouldn't have started to raise a chocobo before your break.
Now you have to sit through all the days.

The chocobo should auto-retire at 130 days. Seems a bit odd it went to 150.

Mine auto retired around 150. I quit caring for mine on day 31 or so. Around 30 minutes of cutscenes before I got the yellow tombstone.

After one of the chocobo raising updates, multiple days' worth of the same cutscene were abbreviated to just one scene.
My first chocobo was automatically retired on Day 130. (I cared for my chocobo every day).
If you're seeing every day of Basic Care as separate cutscenes instead of one general scene describing multiple days, you can file a Bug Report through the POL viewer.

after my choco grew up i left it alone and never went back, maybe i will to night and have my self a big bird meal =P j/king
make sure you bring the wild onions and san d'oria carrots roast over an open flame for about an hour add spices as desiered. Feeds 12 tarutarus, 6 humes, or 1 galka

K maybe i was off a lil on the days. I was at day 120 and yes at day 130 he retired. Thanx for the info
This happened to me too :( Before I could get the choco whistle with my first bird >.>
Well, now that I'm shooting for a black one, I'll make sure to get the whistle this time around.

Like many others, at first I thought this was going to be great, being able to raise my own Chocobo.
Aside from being able to call it with the Chocobo Whistle ... great? ... not so much.
I grew tired of my Red choco Ardent Incarnat. I don't think I will raise another one.
