inheriting abilities

i have a simple question, can a chick inherit 2 abilities from the parents? or is it limited to a single ability?

My dual ability chocobos have had 4 chicks. In one case, there was only one ability available to inherit and it was passed on successfully. In two of the other three cases, one ability was inherited. I have not been able to assess the 4th chick yet. I have never observered dual inheritance, nor have I seen dual inheritance mentioned on this and on other forums/sites that I frequent.

Remember it hasn't been seen but I would think there is a possibility even if remote that it could happen.

I have a high DIS and REC chocobo with Canter and Gallop. So far all the resulting eggs (info from LS mates who bred with mine) have inherited Gallop. I haven't seen anyone say that canter came through. I am thinking about raising another discern chocobo and teaching it Canter and Auto-Regen and breed with another 2 ability chocobo and see what comes of it.
