Ebisu Rod quest

Can you start this quest with out having the Serpent Rumors key item? I have the ex baits that I have obtained from several Pirate's Charts. Just wanting to know if I need to be turning in guild items right now.

Also, what is the titanictus.com page that lists the daily guild items?

But first - u need to get these key items
Serpent Rumors (95 000 guild points, available from Adept status - fishing 78+)
You need Serpent Rumors to:
- trigger Irmilant quest (Indomitable Spirit)

Fish many Gugrusaurus (ferry, with Drill Calamary) and Lik (Lufaise Meadows (lagoon) with Dwarf Pugil)
Trade Gugrusaurus / Lik to Zaldon to get Opal Silk / Saber Shoot

Also forgot to add...if you havn't broken your Lu Shang yet...fish something that will. Irmalent won't give you the Ebisu quest until he fixes your lu shang.

So I have to get the key item and do the lu shang broken rod quest just to activate the quest. I have some dwarf pugs and drill calamary sitting in my mh not doing anything.

You might be able to get the *drop* without flaging the quest. But becasue of it's horrible drop rate, no one really tested it.

And you don't need EX baits anymore. Don't even bother to get mooching. Get rumor, get penguin and albatross ring. Get up to 95 skill and use those rings to catch gugrusaurus and lik.

You need both rings if you want to pull them up reliably.

I'll test it tonite when i get my rumors but from what i heard its a 2 part quest...part 1: repairing your lushang then part2: making the unbreakable spirit Ebisu.

repairing lu shang shouldn't have any connection to the ebisu quest. The title you get from repairing it tho is pretty cool.
