Hello everyone,

I'm an old FFXI player who played on the NA version of the game, before Aht Urghan came out. I moved to Japan, however, and wanted to start it up again. But, since the US Aht Urghan was not on my computer, I bought the 2006 All-In-One Pack (JP) and installed it this morning. JP POL, the game, and all the expansions installed without any problems.

I then ran POL, stuck in my NA account's POL ID and Password, and it registered fine. Here is where the problems start:

I need to register/activate my JP expansions. However, whenever I attempt to do so, it tells me that my POL Password is incorrect. The same thing happens when I try to access Service and Support on the JP Client. Every time, it rejects my password.

Any idea what's going wrong here?

Thanks.

You can not register expansion that doesn't match the version of your account. If your account is NA, expansion must also be NA.

yeah you need to buy a us version of TAU for the keys.

Ahhhh, I see... So in other words, if I re-install the NA POL, I can use it to register my JP Aht Urghan with a NA registration code (provided that I have someone at home buy a copy of the game and e-mail me the code), and then use the JP POL to run the game in Japanese?

yes. once the account is upgraded, you can run it on whatever version. I have both NA and JP versions installed, and I can use my account on either.
