So was trying to log in to give out stuff and cancel my content ID after I haven't been on for over 2 weeks. Also talking to starving to help cancel my account for me because he has a JP POL.

Not only my account, my GF's account also got banned. She only logs in once a day to check her chocobo.

NA support will not help look into my account because it's registered with JP.
JP support will not talk to me in english.

They say I can check out my reason in an e-mail which is sent to my POL.
But I can't log in POL because my account si already closed.

Reason? I don't know. But a few things if I can think of
- typing japanese on NA client via plug in.
- my LS been doing a few MPKs lately (altho I only watched)
- I got a pop up asking I was at keyboard while I was fishing a few weeks ago. But I was there and I answered it immediately of course.

Not that I really care to find out. All I care now is that they don't charge me at the end of this month.

So in conclusion, my option to return is confirmed to no longer exists.
That will be my final goodbye to this game I've been on for 5 years with so much time of my life.

POL has to be the worst account managing piece of crap. And their support is no better. They never talked to me in game, at all. And getting in touch with them outside game is mere impossible.

No more S-E or any japanese online games for me. A support I can at least talk to, please.

On a side note VG suspended a few characters (which are guild bank alts) because they have too much gold (RMT battling already.) But everyone were able to get in touch with GM and got their account back in less than a day via e-mails.

That's really too bad, I hear alot of people complaining because they can't contest their ban, or receive email via POL because they are blocked from it whilst banned.

However, why did you girlfriend's account get banned? Are you two using the same computer or something? If you have the NA client how can you be registered with the japenese?

I imported JP version since 2002, that's when I registered my accounts. I pay for both accounts on the same card and as I heard, they ban everyone on the same card. I no longer play on JP client tho because I enjoy being able to read NPC dialogue and storylines more.

I haven't logged on at all for the past 2 weeks. Maybe more... I'm not sure.

Starving artist still plays on JP client, so I asked him to help cancel my ID for me.
He has my absolute trust. That's when he told me about my account status.

Sounds odd, but you do have a few possibilites laid out for a suspended account and planned to quit anyway.

Did anyone on the server possibly hold a grudge against you? Given Titans endgame scene, I honestly wouldn't put some things past various people on our server and people continue to stoop lower and lower.

Given your description your LS's activities, the shared credit card on billing and the /tell from a GM about fishing, the only things I could think of is somone had something against you or you innocently got mixed in with a wave of otherwise-legitimate bans. Its not the first time in MMORPG history that something like this has happened, after all.

Did you give out anything before the ban came in, Jei? Square-Enix may also have run a scan of people giving away lots of high-value items. It would depend on how they set up their search criteria.

I suppose it doesn't matter either way, but if you really would like to give all that stuff away perhaps there's something that can be done to get least get your account restored long enough to finish what you started.

Anyway, hope VG treats you better. Going to miss having you around here for sure.

Damn, that is rough. Kind of makes me feel extremely unsafe... I'd hate to lose my character considering the amount of time I've put into it, but most of all because I didn't get a chance to give away my stuff.

You going to play Vangaurd Jei? Tell us how it is, the environments look pretty awesome, but the characters look rather plain and plastic as does the gameplay. I had looked at it, but the having to upgrade RAM and video card to run it well, might put me off. ;o

Breaking up spec maps and reflection will help a ton. Don't know if it's real time limitations... most games don't seem to do that. HL2 does, tho.

Sorry to hear that Jei. Were you and your GF using the same credit card? I've just heard several people from my LS were also banned, some of them were sharing credit cards so SE may be using that to link accounts.

This is why unfortunately, I hate mass bannings. Some people get caught in the crossfire and are innocently hurt in it. Mass bannings = bad. You can argue with me all you want how good it is, but when you hurt innocent people, your company will suffer a huge amount of discredit and bad mouthing.

The rest of us will limp on by, hoping we don't get hit by motar shells from weapons of mass banning, and we wish you well Jei.
