I'm in mission 2-3 and I already fought the Warchief Vatgit (http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Warchief_Vatgit) in Ghelsba Outpost (http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Ghelsba_Outpost) and I went to Bastok Metalworks (http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Metalworks) and talked to Patt-Pott (http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Patt-Pott). Am I supposed to go fight the dragon now? Because on wiki.ffxiclopedia it say I need to speak to Pius (http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Pius) at the Department of Industry in the President's Office. But when I get there the guard won't let me in. I want to find out before I form the party to fight the dragon so I don't waste anyone time. Thanks for the help.

Yes - Mission 2-3 (regardless of your nation) has two parts with the second being a dragon fight. Since you did the Sandy leg first, you would then go to the embassy in Port Windurst to get your instructions for the dragon fight.

Did you talk to Kasaroro in the Windy Consul (North Sandy) after you killed the orc? Also what did Patt-Pott tell you? Just to make sure: Are you from Windurst?

I finished the Sandy part of this mission. I went over to Bastok and talked to Patt-Pott. But since I had to log I didn't read what he said. So now that I look at the walkthrough in wiki.ffxiclopedia it say I be going over to Pius and speak to him. But when I go over to where Pius is one of the npc standing at the door won't allow me to pass saying I have no business there.

Try talking to Patt-Pott again and see what he said.

what level are you doing this and are you soloing it? haha I just keep leveling because I don't know if I should solo it and/or what level to do this mission, because I feel like I should but...what are suggestions from everyone? Thanks!

Mission 2-3 is up to 6 players, but level capped at level 25. I strongly recommend not attempting to solo this, as you will very likely lose without amazing gear and lots of money for medicines.
At the very least, a Monk with Hundred Fists plus a Black Mage, Red Mage, or Bard who can Sleep or Lullaby the dragon is probably the safest way to duo this. More players is obviously better.
Remember again that you are limited to level 25, so you'll need specialized gear if you're already higher level than that as it will not let you equip any level 26+ once inside the arena.

Sorry that I didn't reply on this. It was my fault. I know what I did wrong. Prius is in the room on the right. I was trying to go into the room in the middle. That's why. But yeah I finished all the talking part. Now is time to get my party of 6 and go slay the dragon. Thanks for all the help guys.

i tried with a group of four, but on e member couldnt get through and he never slew the dragon and it was weird so we tried takin ghim on and well....needlesstosay i deleveled and had to level back up again real fast! I am going to level some more before attempting this again, but wow haha. One guy in the party though kinda screwed us over on the way there (trained orcs and left them to us) but hey, I will defeat the dragon sometime in the future!
