So I should have my sub by the weekend right now i'm 16 war and my mnk is lvl5. I've noticed that lizzy is rarely camped (/shock) and would like to get my boots. what are my chances without having th1? and i know its probably listed on a dozen other sites, but this is the only one i can access at work, can anyone give me the spawn type/ time and a viable strat thanks
there isnt really a viable strat for this guy, he's like a lvl. 9 mob? something like that. just go up to him and whack him till he dies.
his spawn type is (from what ive noticed, ive killed him about 5-6 times) is a 1hr timer then lottery spawn. he spawns anywhere in that 2 grid area before the misty pool area. you will need to kill the normal lizards around there because one of those is a place holder.
as far as drop rate... its really random. it took me about 5 times to get it, some ppl longer, some ppl shorter. i wouldnt say the drop rate is horrible. its just an avg. rare item imo.

Spawn time can be 5 minutes to over 6 hours. Its not exact but usually if a spawn is past two hours, the next one will be less then 10 minutes.
Widescan can be used to track the placeholders but that's easily screwed up by other people anyway. Just circle the tower and kill any lizards you see. Eventually Lizzy will pop.

Spawn time can be 5 minutes to over 6 hours. Its not exact but usually if a spawn is past two hours, the next one will be less then 10 minutes.I can attest to this. I've seen Lizzy pop within 10 to 15 minutes of being killed, and I've camped her for over 4 hours on rare occasions, with frantic Widescan spamming, and not see her pop. However, in the 22 times I killed her (16 of which were all done in a matter of 3 or 4 days,) I didn't notice any pattern. It was totally random. Sometimes she would respawn quickly after taking her sweet time, and sometimes she'd respawn quickly after having taken not much longer than an hour.
What I did was familiarize myself with the general spawn points and wandering areas of the placeholders, then run around the rock spire in a circle killing them more or less in order. That way, I knew where the next bunch would spawn, increasing the odds that I'd be near Lizzy when she popped. Also, Widescan, and Widescan lots. While you autorun. I still remember the button sequence. Triangle, O, O, Hold Right and skim over the list rapidly, X, X, repeat as quickly and frequently as possible (adapt to keyboard keys if you don't use a controller, of course.) It's mind-numbing, but if you have competition, it can make all the difference.

I hated camping this Nm just follow what everyone is saying here and dont give up getting the drop with out TH1 will be annoying try to get a high lvl thf or a 15 thf to helpp you but dont bug them just ask once.... and be nice and dont steal the mob from others. Good Luck

about every 90-180 min it pops. and sometime it has a respawn 10-15 min after the first kill/claim on it. Take widescan b/c i found this works like a charm....

You need to stand ontop of the rock that is on the edge of the drop off and continue to spam wide scan till you see the 5th Lizard and kill both the 5th one on the top group and the 5th on the bottom. eta on respawn is roughly 5 min so at 4:30 after first kill, start spamming widescan again. The respawn is either LL or another Lizard. I was 1/9 in 24 hours and got claim every time. GL.
yeah, i'm sure a level 16 war has access to wide scan.

You can do it without widescan, though. Is it as easy? Well, no. But it's possible.

Leaping Lizzy can die in a unquenchable fire deep inside Micheal Moore's butt...
0/a zillion for myself (of course 2/3 for two former "friends")

One of my LS mates went something like 1/78. He helped me hunt mine and I went 1/5. Moral of the story is you never know what kind of luck you will have. Good luck.

12/52 on LL
i swear i saw 8 hours w/o a pop once unless it popped next to someone and they one-shotted it and i just missed that (i have seen it one-shotted by a 75 war w/ gaxe-he hit a 400 crit and it just dropped)
i have also seen the 5 min pop too
i think its just random
kill all the lizards, even past the campfire on the townside all the way down to the dangruf area
it will pop eventually

There is a theory that the two separate placeholders are separate LLs with separate timers, with only the restriction that they can't both spawn at the same time, and that this accounts for the occasions where LL spawns in rapid succession. I don't know how this could be proven or disproven, but I will note that the placeholder information does seem to be accurate. If you can keep track of the PH (gets progressively harder the more competition you have), timing the respawns makes this a lot more bearable. Once you can find the PH, respawn timing will help you keep track of it.
Wide Scan is a must for this kind of NM hunt. You can go without it, but it is painful to operate without it. There are varying opinions as to whether RNG or BST Wide Scan is better for this. I personally used RNG.

I've been told the placeholder(s) have a longer pop time. Never tested it myself, but its worth watching and see if its true.

Nope, I've camped Lizzy enough to know that all the lizards, including her placeholders, have a 5 minute respawn. The fact that many JAs also have 5 minute recasts can help in timing them.

Har har. Anywho, yes, the respawn time for place holders is 5 mins. Also, I suggest looking at the Wiki entry of Lizzy since it helped me first hunt her down.
