Well, it was my first time ever fighting Maat today and I won ^.^ In the actual fight, I messed up pretty badly, but I managed to kill him without even taking one point of damage. I think I just got lucky.
When I entered the BCNM I went to go use my Blink Band, but I accidentaly equipped my Black Cloak >.> so I had to re-equip my band, and while I was waiting, I used a Re-raiser and INT potion. After that I used the band, and ran up to Maat and cast Flare. I went to go sleep him, but messed up Elemental Seal and he resisted my normal sleep. Then I realized he was casting a spell and (stupidly) scrolled my my chat log to see what it was, at wich point my character was surrounded in a stream of frothy bubbles and water blasts, a.k.a. flood. But I had my my Shadows up, so nothing happened really.
Then Maat used Manafont and I thought "Run Away!" and ran, kinda supprised Maat didn't follow. When I ran back to the arena, I started casting Freeze and he started casting Burst, which both went off at the same time, leaving me with 0 shadows and Maat at 22%. He ran up to punch/asuran fists me, but stopped ~2 feet away, started casting Tornado, and I finished him off with Firaga III.
So even though I probably didn't deserve it, 1/1 on Maat! If only I had that luck on Moldy...
