The Ultimate Chocobo

Hmm i am going to start an expiriment to raise the ultimate chocobo. but not until my 7th or 8th generation.

I just finished my 5th gen chocobo, she is 29 days old, black and is average in both mental atributs and has the abilitys auto-regen and gallop. she also has the large head and beak. I have a male card for her, a 70 day old red male that is first-class in mental and lerned treasure finder and auto-regen. I will not breed till she hits first-class.

on my mule (once i finish lvling it to 20.. but thats good because it gives me time to max out shadows mental-ness) i will be breeding my 4th gen chocobo, meteor (he is yellow) on day 28, he hit the better than average physical attribute and i retired him on day 29 to continue breeding. he has the high endurance plume and the strong leggs. the mate i have for him is a first class blue female who shares the same physical features as he does.

one character for color, abilitys and meantal attributs.. the other for physical and hopfully a bonus in color but meteor seems to hold a strong line of yellow because his father was red and grandfather black and all chicks were yellow... perhaps i have bad color luck :rolleyes:

i am hopping that the mental chick will inherit gallop, so i can then raise her to learn canter. i hope the chick will carry on the 2 physical features thats are added and i hope the physical chick will be simular but opposit lol i MAINLY hope that one is a girl and the other a boy >.> teehee

then their children (depending if they are boy and girl) will be raised normaly sticking to the plan, i will breed them.

i wish to start raising them on same day so they are same age.. see who advances faster. once compleat i will breed them to eachother.

then, depending on the chicks starting stats will i adjust the plan, hence, should i do another generation?
my goal is to raise a chocobo that is born with semi-high rounded stats ohh say substandard or deficeant. then i will only do basic care, keep affection at max and stick to a strick diet of 1 vomp, 1 zeg and 1 sandy carrot. replace the sandy carrot with medicen or happy greens :) when chocobos condintion falters. i am hopping for a chocobo with all stats firstclass and have all physical features (the beak, claws, tail and head) and maby a cool color. i will also do kamp kweh as much as i can, but its hard to get people to come.. :/

ok i hope the pic loaded.. the red chocobo will be the mate of my not shown black chocobo where the yellow (meteor) will be bread with the blue he is standing beside... i am hoping i can talk my friends into comming over to my house to play free FFXI instead of buying it lmao so they can have fun lvling to 20 on other chars so i can breed my black female with the green male who last i saw was better than average ^^;.. its fair, they get to play and have fun doing it and i get a semi lvled char :3 its a win win situation lol ohh how do i loath leavlin... let me count the ways..

I am on Lakshmi, and have a male bird, first class disc and receptivity, knows both gallop and canter. If you need a chococard, however he is yellow.

My char is Takira, mule's name is Cremedementhe. Creme is the one with chococards for the male bird.

Keep in mine that when breeding two diffrent color chocobos, their is a chance that the chick will be yellow, weather a parent was yellow or not.

As for the "perfect" chocobo... I do not think it is possible. You will certainly come close if you start with a chocobo that has all substandard/average, but all of the careplans except basic care decreace the opposing stats, which will make this VERY hard. If I where you, I would find a chocobo that has an affinity to develop STR and END, level REP and DIS to the point your chocobo learns all the abilitys you want, then switch back over.

Given enough time you could probably do it, but their is that 129 day limit :/

Also, you have to remember even later generation chocobo chicks hatch at poor stats, depending on the parents they have the affinity to develop higher stats quickly using the right care plans and foods.
