SAM vs RNG

I'm trying to find out which one is a better DD. And why. Sorry for being so general. Trying to get some feedback because I like both but not sure which one I wanna get to 75 first and spend my merit point on it.

Well if you want versatility, you can go for SAM, if you want numbers, you can go for RNG. I think both are pretty good DD jobs though.

both are good. sam merits tend to be more useful imo. rng merits kinda suck :(

If you really wanna, pull a Muteki and get both the relic Great Katana and Relic Bow. Sub RNG then you can deal uber damage in both ways.

I've seen him fight in besieged once.... dayum.
EDIT: RNG is technically better in terms of raw damage, but comparing any job (DD or otherwise) is essentially apples to oranges; you can't do it. I say play both jobs, and stick with whichever is more fun. Keep in mind that RNG can make a great sub for SAM.

Mog I doubt I'll be able to get both relic wpn to max. Maybe in like 10+ years. But I doubt that the game will still be around by then. =)

Right now, the average relic is worth around 500 million gil. :/
